Recent edit to Afolabi edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your recent edit to Afolabi added the name of an apparently non-notable entity. In general, a person or organization added to a list should have a pre-existing article to establish notability. If you wish to create such an article, please confirm that your subject is notable according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you! Qzd (talk) 22:05, 27 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but it appears you have written or added to an article about yourself, at Afolabi Osho. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Wikipedia is not for writing about yourself edit

Welcome to Wikipedia, but it is not a place like Facebook or LinkedIn for people to write about themselves. It is a quite different sort of site, a project to build an encyclopedia, so it is selective about subjects for articles, and writing about oneself is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained at Wikipedia is not about YOU and Wikipedia:Autobiography.

The links in the Welcome message at the top of this page will tell you more about Wikipedia. CAPTAIN RAJU () 22:41, 27 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thanks bro edit

Really appreciate your comment about my work. I get tickled when I get appreciated especially on wikipedia [people rarely do that]. Your user page indicate you're an engineering student -I'm also one. Which institution if I might ask.Mahveotm (talk) 20:42, 28 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the reply really appreciate it.I am also a Mechanical Engineer, but at the Lagos State University. In my third year right now. I'm keen on editing topics that are related to Lagos and Nigeria that's where the bulk of my edit goes because I feel they're underrepresented on Wikipedia.I've made a lot of mistakes here my talk page says it all.I can also be contacted by mail @ mahveotm@gmail.com. If you do find something around here you don't understand feel free to ask me and if I do I'll do my best to shed some light. Wikipedia community appreciate your work and so do I let me again send a belated welcomes to Wikipedia.Mahveotm (talk) 06:29, 30 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
