User talk:Aetherwaltz/List of Jinmeiyō kanji

Latest comment: 15 years ago by Aetherwaltz

I am completely new to editing Wikipedia, but it has baffled me for a while why there is not a list for jinmeiyō kanji similar to the one for Joyo kanji. Yes, there is a list present, but it lacks definitions and pronunciations and is not nearly as useful as the joyo list article. I'd like to make it a project to create such an article for the list of jinmeiyo kanji.

This is a tedious process of scouring Wiktionary for meanings, hiragana and romaji spellings, and as a novice Japanese language student wondering if some of these meanings even apply when used in names. This is made slightly more difficult because I'm terrible at making tables.

If anyone would like to contribute, whether by adding more kanji or by formatting the page into a more presentable format, that would be wonderful. Aetherwaltz (talk) 04:08, 14 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
