October 2017 edit

Hello, I'm Woodroar. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Infinite Flight, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Note that a publisher's website can only be used for basic, non-self-serving facts. Game announcements should always be referenced to reliable, third-party published sources, such as those at WP:VG/RS. Thanks. Woodroar (talk) 12:15, 19 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Infinite Flight edit

I remembered adding two citations to that when I edited. Both of them were to the Offical a Infinite Flight Community and the text on it was by the Developers. Maybe the Citation didn’t come up for you. I will check that and if the citation doesn’t come up this time, there might be a bug. I hope this helped,

Hi AerospacePal. I'm sorry but I've had to revert your edits again. The issue isn't the lack of a source, but the lack of a reliable source. Notes from the developers are primary sources written about their own product. Those types of sources are sometimes acceptable to verify basic facts, like a game's full title or the platform(s) it's currently available on. But we don't use primary or self-published sources to reference controversial or unduly self-serving information, and that includes things like awards, marketing buzzwords, and game features. Instead, we summarize what reliable, third-party, published sources say about the subject. (You can read more about sources for video games articles at WP:VG/RS.) Our video game article guidelines also discourage patch notes and version histories in favor of a general summary of the game development (again, referenced to reliable, third-party sources). I hope you understand. If you have any questions, let me know! Cheers! Woodroar (talk) 23:11, 19 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Ah, thanks for letting me know. Didn’t understand at first. Anyways, that is what is in the game actually (because i have it, gotten the pro subscription and done all that stuff in it) But I will keep it how it is. Regards, AerospacePal. AerospacePal (talk) 23:38, 19 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
