Recent edit to Giffgaff edit

Several issues here. First, unsourced material replacing sourced material, just because a company changes hands doesn't mean its history gets erased. Second, new material should be sourced to reliable, journalistic sources. Third, "we" on Wikipedia is not Giffgaff, it "we" is Wikipedia. Finally, as you are (based on this "we") associated with the firm, please read and understand WP:PSCOI. Thank you! Thank you! Joe Decker (alt) (talk) 23:08, 7 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

November 2017 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Giffgaff has been reverted.
Your edit here to Giffgaff was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.giffgaff.com/) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. an image file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 23:23, 7 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Giffgaff, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. DanielRigal (talk) 23:32, 7 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Ah. I think I see why your edits are unreferenced. There is nothing in the business news to support what you claim. This is a hoax is it not? If so, you need to stop now or you will get blocked. --DanielRigal (talk) 23:36, 7 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hello AerialKnightStudios. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, and that you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to Black hat SEO.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:AerialKnightStudios. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=AerialKnightStudios|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, please do not edit further until you answer this message. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 23:58, 7 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia with this username. This is because your username, AerialKnightStudios, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below) and continue editing.

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "Email this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you think that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} on your user talk page, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 23:59, 7 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Your goddamned stuff edit

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. You may suggest edits to articles with which you have a connection. You may not assume WP:ownership of articles on Wikipedia. Edits will be based on verifiable information form reliable sources not connected with the subject. Please read and head the information about paid editing.
