February 2014 edit

Hello, I'm MelbourneStar. I noticed that you recently removed all content from Amr ElSamra, with this edit, without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the page's content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ——MelbourneStartalk 12:47, 4 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello,
Please note that I have just learned that my IP address is in a domain that has been banned across all Wikimedia Foundation sites and that the ban was made by Jon Kolbert. The reason given is Open Proxy/Webhost: Contact stewards if I’m affected. In this regard, I would like to point out that I am fond of creating pages for famous and distinguished members of my family, and I have already created pages in English and Arabic for my uncle and spiritual father, Lieutenant General Ibrahim El-Orabi, former Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces https://en.wikipedia. org/wiki/Ibrahim_El-Orabiandhttps://ar.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/إ#ٮراه*ٮم_العرا#ٮ!ى,aswellasmyotheruncle,Dr.IbrahimFayad, an Egyptian senior pediatrician and Professor of Pediatrics, Kasr Al Aini School of Medicine, Cairo
,ا #ٮراه *ٮم_محمد_ 1ڡ *ٮاض/University https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ibrahim_Fayad and https://arz.m.wikipedia.org/wiki however, I was surprised, after a period of time, that many parts of the page of my second uncle, especially Arabic, were cut off, in addition to deleting his picture on both pages, and added to this and that, when I created my own page in English and Arabic, being a big fan of silver antiques, not to mention being one of the founders of the Egyptian-Sri Lankan Businessmen Council and a member of its first board of directors, in addition to my activities in various aspects on the international level, I was surprised not only that both pages were deleted but that my IP was banned across all Wikimedia Foundation sites as previously mentioned.
I kept wondering about the reason for all this, and is there a way to work to remedy that until I learned about the possibility of communicating with you and decided to list everything I went through in the form of a grievance, as I hope the above is useful to you knowing that when my uncle passed away and the President of Egypt attended his funeral, I was very proud that all the Egyptian and regional media had taken their information from the two pages that I had created for long time ago him on Wikipedia.
Therefore, and for all of the above, please reconsider your decision, which certainly has all due respect, so that I can enrich the encyclopedia to many famous and distinguished figures, as I still have a good amount of documented information that is not available to many.
Please feel free to contact me if you need any further information.
Sincerely,
Amr Elsamra

Welcome edit

Hello, Aelsamra, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you created was Amr El-Samra, which appears to be an article about yourself. This is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome!
