Hello, I'm C.Fred. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Steve Williams (animator), but you didn't provide a reliable source. I AM the reliable source! I’ve known Steve for 30 years, we have a daughter together. His wiki page is full of errors which I have tried to fix on his behalf at his request. Wrong birth date, brother, father, film credits, awards, etc. Can someone please stop deleting my edits? I’m a human who lived with Steve and I don’t have the “citations” you demand. Watch the new Jurassic Punk film (Apple, Amazon, Vimeo etc) and you’ll see I’m interviewed in it 5 times (and so is our daughter, Hannah Biggs Williams). Please try to undo your deletions of my updates. If wiki prides itself on being accurate and truthful, they are failing by excluding my/our changes. Thank you, Fred. That said, if Jurassic Punk is the published source, if you can provide a time marker in the documentary (so that rather than watch the entire thing looking for a needle in a haystack, we can go to a specific point in the video), we can then use the documentary to verify the changes. Well the film doesn’t refer to his DOB (1/10/62) or give his dad’s full name (Norman Williams) or declare Harland Williams is not Steve’s brother. Those details weren’t relevant to the film. But if you want time markers that determine by credibility as a source for citations, there are several. 21:55, 56:50, 1:17:57 etc Hope this helps. Ady1966 (talk) 20:45, 19 December 2022 (UTC)

As I mentioned, “ if you want time markers that determine my credibility as a source for citations, there are several”. Beyond that, how the heck did all the false info get accepted onto the page? Wrong birth year, wrong name, wrong dad’s name and link, wrong brother, wrong country citizenship…it makes no sense that strangers were able to post all of that inaccurate info and yet I’m a credible source close to the subject and I’m not allowed to improve for clarity and actual truth? That’s my point: you say that info was tracked to secondary sources and is verifiable. But those sources are inaccurate! Wrong birth year, wrong name, wrong dad’s name and link, wrong brother, wrong country citizenship…it makes no sense. If wiki (and you “editors”) take a random secondary published source as truth, just because it’s able to provide a link as a “citation”( even when a reliable human source that is close to the subject of the page is telling you that info is false, you’re doing nothing to increase the accuracy of the wiki platform and that’s just plain wrong. Just because my truthful knowledge isn’t “published” somewhere doesn’t mean it has less value. Crazy world. Ady1966 (talk) 05:26, 20 December 2022 (UTC)

First, there's no way to prove that you're reliable: you are a user who is claiming to be related to Williams by marriage, but there's nothing to prove that you are who you say you are. Likewise, WP:Verifiability says that we prefer information that can be verified in reliable sources to information that cannot be verified, and we prefer secondary sources, like newspapers and magazines, over self-published sources, connected sources, and other primary sources. —C.Fred (talk) 18:36, 20 December 2022 (UTC)

Jesus. I already provided time markers in the new film Jurassic Punk, to verify my identity and the relationship between Steve and me (and our daughter, Hannah). Again, some of those markers in the film are 21:55, 56:50, 1:17:57 etc etc. That must certainly qualify as the kind of “information that can be verified in a reliable source”, right? I never said I was his spouse, I only said we have a daughter together and have known each other for 30 years.

The time markers show me multiple times in the film, and also with him. The first time I appear in the film, at around marker :20, it shows my full name and title on screen. It shows my name again at a later marker.

Why this matters: This film is the top 5 streaming movie in North America right now, ahead of Avatar. And we wanted to improve his Wiki page because people are loving the film and I’m sure they’ll be going to Wiki to find out more about him. But half of the info in his wiki is incorrect!
