Hey, Adriano. You've been around since June and haven't gotten the welcome message yet? That's a shame. By the way, I'd like to thank you for your articles on Italian geography; they're very good, but you might want to look at some other articles to see how they're formatted (use of boldface, what to link, how to properly indicate external links, etc). And here's the welcome message...

Welcome!

Hello Adriano Pedrana, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Thank you for the welcoming message, with personalization (what an honour!! :-) )

As you have probably realized, I am a wiki-newbie, and, as such, I was supposed to read the tutorials... Was just so eager to start and fouled up a few things (remember the Metal Dreit rock band?) I promise I'll try and learn everything, although I prefer to learn through mistakes...
In the meantime please be all wikipedians be patient to a stubborn Italian, who's too lazy to learn.. :-) --Adriano 14:53, 27 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Trentino-Alto Adige/Sudtirol edit

Hello, I would like there to be a serious discussion on this region and how the names have been changed. I am from this region and have both Italian and Austrian/German blood. I care for this region like no other. How the names have been manipulated is offensive. To go to a page and see the Province of Bolzano-Bozen now listed as South Tyrol is getting to the point of being ridiculous. Any basic list of provinces of Italy lists Bolzano-Bozen, Trento, etc. Also, any and all cities in the region have both the Italian and German name listed. Taalo 21:33, 1 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Vandalism and registration edit

Hi, I copy here your last comment in Talk:Trentino-South Tyrol: it is better to discuss here about that. You wrote:

Agree on this point. My impression is only that most of vandalism is carried out by non registered users...
Of course, this is true. But please, consider also the fact that sometimes registered users are even more malicious than that. Most of the spam, and of the fantasy articles are produced by registered users. Anyway, if you think that an article is often (or too often) vandalized by unregistered users, you can ask for a {{sprotected}} procedure. --gala.martin (what?) 12:49, 22 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

mediation edit

adriano, please respond to lar's offer of mediation at talk:Trentino-South Tyrol. if anything, to say thanks for the offer. take care. Taalo 18:31, 9 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

ok, i tried to reformat it so the offer is on the top and bottom. :-) see if it is more visible now. anyway, exciting to see the tone of the discussion (i think) become more friendly and professional. also this person's offer to help conclude this is really a great thing to see. gives me hope in Wiki :-) take care. Taalo 19:27, 9 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
I hope too that this discussion comes to an end with a compromise which could satisfy everybody and stop what I still consider a useless war... Cheers. --Adriano 14:20, 10 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Requested moves edit

I re-opened the discussion on the move of Trentino-South Tyrol and South Tyrol. If you want to say your opinion, you're welcome. --Checco 07:57, 27 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Trentino-Whatever edit

done! :}~ Taalo 20:58, 4 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

And everything's solved now? Wish it were... :-) --Adriano 23:47, 4 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
Ah, it was deleted anyway. :} So the voting so far by native language: support (2 English, 1 Dutch, 4 Italian). oppose (2 German). I still believe we'll get away from the nationalism on this one.. touch wood. You should vote oppose with a preference to Trentino-Whatever.. :P Taalo 02:38, 5 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
Could be a good idea, ( :-) ) but, as already stated, I do not really care... :-) --Adriano 19:39, 13 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

motion to close mediation edit

hello there,

there was a mediation offer quite a while ago concerning the issue of Trentino-South Tyrol. I am happy to announce that the issue has been discussed, voted upon and settled. However the mediation offer still needs to be officially closed. Please take a minute to visit the page Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2006-10-20 Trentino-South Tyrol and put your signature at the bottom if you agree with the decision, thank you. sincerely Gryffindor 20:31, 17 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • A very important note. This mediation offer concerned the greater overall naming convention to use in this region, not just the name of the region itself. We came up with a very good compromise for the regional name itself. I for one am still looking forward for Lar to help us out. Taalo 21:31, 17 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

you forgot edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help.
