Speedy deletion nomination of Nigerian entertainment today edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Nigerian entertainment today, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Tchaliburton (talk) 12:10, 25 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Ojy Okpe moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Ojy Okpe, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Discussion (Possible COI). Strong Possible Undisclosed Paid Editing edit

I have moved your latest article Ojy Okpe to Draft:Ojy Okpe on the grounds of a potential COI. Please (if any)in what capacity are you acquainted with the subject of your article? Celestina007 (talk) 02:13, 16 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello there, could you be so kind as not to bother to respond to the COI query above? Since then and now there have been new development & I have changed the tag from COI to UPE, the UPE varies from the COI tag, for example if you say “hey I have no COI with the subject”, I’d ask a few questions but ultimately I’d have to move the article back to mainspace however the UPE tag prohibits you from further editing the article. I’m really sorry but you may not edit the article any further. In order to avoid any form of potential outing as it violates our policy on privacy, I have shared private evidence/data to the relevant parties, for now, you are at full liberty and within your rights to answer to the UPE query and defend yourself as you deem fit. Peace Profound. Celestina007 (talk) 03:56, 16 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Celestina007: I'm a bit of a newbie, so I'm just figuring out how to reply to this properly. Thank you for the feedback. I've not in anyway been paid for this, and I'm willing to abide by whatever decision is made. I did most of my sourcing from All Africa's archive because I found a lot of puff pieces. That being said, I'm here for the long haul if I don't get booted because of your query, please don't bite me. My very first article was as I now understand, rightly deleted but the experience scared me away. This is my real name and I have nothing to hide.

  • You are a Newbie? I’m not sure how that applies, From public log, you have been a registered user for a decade, so you see, I really do ponder how you call yourself a NEWBIE at 10 years of editing, albeit with only 27 edits, I think I see why you may call yourself a NEWBIE, Furthermore, I note you make promotional edits on non notable entities and individuals, in any case, & theoretically speaking, if you are using more one account to edit Wikipedia it is referred to as sock puppetry and it is violation of policy. Celestina007 (talk) 22:21, 26 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Celestina007: As I said earlier, I have nothing to hide. I have no other account. If there's a way to get my digital footprint on here, I'm sure you can confirm this. Thank you for your feedback Adetoyan (talk) 02:37, 27 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Draft:Ojy Okpe edit

Hello, Adetoyan. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Ojy Okpe".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 03:50, 16 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi Liz, I was a bit uncertain as to what to do. The article was flagged as undisclosed paid editing and the person that flagged it said I shouldn't edit it until the investigation was concluded. Your feedback is the first I've received on this matter since then. Adetoyan (talk) 07:53, 16 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
