Welcome!

Hello, Adekel, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like ClickFox, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted (if it hasn't already).

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Speedy deletion of ClickFox edit

A tag has been placed on ClickFox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ╟─TreasuryTagcontribs─╢ 18:54, 13 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Not exactly sure what I did wrong. I tried to add a page about a company and be as factual as possible. How else do you add information like that? What makes a page fall under the 'blatant advertising' category? I see lots of company pages out there - are the only ones allowed on Wiki public companies?

Decline reason:

Have a look at WP:ADVERT and WP:COI. PhilKnight (talk) 19:39, 14 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I wrote the article not as an advertisement but as a factual page about the company. I looked at several other company pages on Wiki, such as NICE and Verint and tried to copy the format and language so as not to sound like an AD or have a COI. I still think the company should be on Wiki because they are innovators in a new field - what else can I do to get a page for it?

Decline reason:

You haven't gotten the message. We don't welcome people writing entries on behalf of companies. If you expect to be unblocked you will have to agree to follow WP:BESTCOI, which means that more than likely, your company will not end up with a listing unless making one seems worthwhile to someone else. You have a COI implicitly, given that you are the company's directory of marketing (either that or you're posing as the person who is their director of marketing). Wikipedia isn't to be used for the purpose of drawing users to a website or business to a company. Wikipedia articles need to consist of impartial information supported by explicitly referenced third-party WP:reliable sources, not WP:original research. As for NICE and Verint, were their articles written by representatives of those companies? In general, the fact that WP:other stuff exists that you feel your article resembles, doesn't mean that your article qualifies. Sometimes despite similarities there are differences that are key to the determination. It's also possible that the other articles are subject to deletion as well. —Largo Plazo (talk) 13:28, 15 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
