Hello Adam, I saw the question mark in your translation and would like to offer you a suggestion. I would take ad hoc diminutionis to mean "at thís [supply noun] of diminution" and translate ad hoc est diminutionis redacta, ut... as "it has been reduced to such a diminutive state, that...".
