Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Treating macular degeneration with electrical stimulation. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. Conflict of interest

edit

Hello. I was asked to comment on your contributions to macular degeneration, and I find that there are some problems. Specifically, you are citing fairly small primary research studies, where there is consensus that Wikipedia articles on medical subjects should be based on secondary sources, such as review articles. If these are not extant, and the topic is otherwise highly researched, this may indicate that the treatment you are writing about is not notable for a general purpose encyclopedia.

On a separate note, I noticed that you wrote much of treating macular degeneration with electrical stimulation, which has now been nominated for deletion. Some editors are concerned that you may have a conflict of interest (your username is the same as that of a website that you a referring to). I suggest you familiarise yourself with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Let me know if you have any questions. JFW | T@lk 08:11, 22 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Gene Bruno

edit

I wanted to give you a personal heads up that I have nominated an article you created for deletion. It appears to me that you are the subject of this article as well, so I really hope you don't take this personally. In my opinion the article fails to establish notability per our notability guidelines that can be found at WP:N. As of right now the article does not provide any sources that are not written by the subject of the article. In order for the article to be kept independent reliable sources must be provided. For information on reliable source criteria, take a look at WP:RS. As you have already been informed of the conflict of interest policy, I think it would be best to direct to the specific autobiography policy at WP:AUTO. You might also want to take a look at a couple of FAQs such as WP:BFAQ which answers frequent questions about editing articles about ones own business as well as WP:ASFAQ regarding article that you are the subject of. Once again please do not take this personally, this is not a judgment regarding you personally or professionally, merely whether it is possible to write a neutral biography about Gene Bruno using independent sources. Please let me know if you have any questions of need any help. --Leivick (talk) 23:25, 28 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Macintosh HD-Users-genebruno-Desktop-GBruno -2.jpeg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.
