  Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page fluoropolymer do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. WLU (t) (c) Wikipedia's rules:simple/complex 13:53, 22 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

  If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article polyvinylidene fluoride, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Seriously, stop adding your website to any and all pages on wikipedia. They are inappropriate as external links and not considered reliable sources for inline citations. If you wish to help wikipedia, add information published in peer-reviewed journals to the relevant pages, rather than spamming a company website inappropriately. Consider this your final warning, further addition of spam links will be reported to the vandalism noticeboard resulting in a block. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy because your account is being used only for spam, advertising, or promotion. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. -- Mentifisto 15:11, 22 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

The article is a relevant article explaining how to prepare fluoropolymers for bonding and was not intended as spam. We apologize for the confusion we have created and will revise to follow your guidelines more closely. I understand that our link looked as if it was an advertisement or spam. Unfortunately, I had not understood the guidelines or how to even edit pages. I will stop adding the links that do not follow guidelines.

Decline reason:

We need two things from you if you want to be unblocked. First, you will need to read and agree to follow the guidelines at WP:BESTCOI regarding any editing that can be viewed as a conflict of interest, such as adding links to the company you represent. Second, you need to pick a new username, one that represents you and not the company you work for; corporate usernames are problematic for multiple reasons. They are viewed as promotional, and also we have no way of verifying anyone's official status as representing a company. Use Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
