Thank you CliffC! I am very thankful for the help. I am still learning how to use Wikipedia, and I know that it will be much easier if I have help from users like you. When you have time, please look at the article Tension ring. I know a few things about the subject, and I am trying to improve this article. When I found it, it had no sources and was less than organized. I have added a significant amount of new material and organization to the article and also several sources. Let me know what you think. I'm sorry, but I just reverted your "Pros and Cons" section. It was wholly unsourced, and it was apparently your opinion on the pros/cons of these rings. I'll watch your page if you want to reply here. Tan ǀ 39 18:15, 3 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thank you! I appreciate the criticism. When I found the page yesterday, it had no sources and was very small. I have tried to add sources and improve the overall quality of the article. Any help that you can give is great. Also, I will try to stick to sources only. ActionMan12 (talk) 18:25, 3 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Your efforts to improve Wikipedia are greatly appreciated! We need more editors who want to add content. Just be careful to stick to sourced material only. This is a hard concept to wrap your head around, especially for experts in the field or people with a lot of experience with the subject, as you seem to have. The tendency for one to want to add your personal experiences and knowledge is strong, but original research is not allowed here on Wikipedia, for good reason. While I'm not going to revert or change any of your previous edits to this article, please go back and examine your own contributions - is all material referenced? Did you get all the additions from significant, third-party sources? Tan ǀ 39 18:29, 3 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
You make several excellent points. It is my hope to improve the sources in the next few weeks and also fill some gaps that are related to the manufacturing process. As you suggested, I will go back and look at what I wrote and then source anything that is simply a statement. Thank you again for your help! ActionMan12 (talk) 18:34, 3 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

I am currently trying to update the article on tension ring, and it would be great if others would be willing to help update the article. Thanks!ActionMan12 (talk)

sure thing edit

First thing is first. add {{hangon}} to the page and write what you wrote on my talk page on the talk page of the article. Then write something like this:

please delete this page and the associated talk page and move the Tension rings page to Tension ring.

Ahhh, fixed anyways.  :) Good luck in the future! Protonk (talk) 17:56, 3 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think I've gotten the move straightened out, and the most recent/intended version of the content correct on Tension ring. If something feels missing that you remember seeing, check through the page history (which now contains all edits from both the previous "Tension ring" and "Tension rings" articles). Let me know if you need more help! DMacks (talk) 17:58, 3 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
