License tagging for File:Bridgman05.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Bridgman05.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 00:05, 19 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

DYK for Women's literary salons and societies in the Arab World

Orlady (talk) 00:04, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Nice work! It won't be updated for the day including its time on the main page until about a day from now, but this page will have stats on how many people saw the article during the DYK.
One thing you might do now is find appropriate places in other articles to link to this one. For example, the biographical articles that already exist would be good places, as well as general articles about literary salons and societies and articles about the relevant historical periods in the history of the Arab world.--Sage Ross - Online Facilitator, Wikimedia Foundation (talk) 12:27, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thank you very much for the help and advice - I am most grateful, as I am new to Wikipedia. I will continue updating and expanding the article over the next week, so any other comments and suggestions are welcomed.Act25 (talk) 12:33, 9 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

a magnificent job, and I urge you to continue with Wikipedia; even if you do not have the opportunity to do such major projects as this, there are many smaller ones whee you skill in writing and research are badly needed. DGG ( talk ) 08:56, 10 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
