The article says that many authorities treat the Bahama subspecies as a separate species, and I was always under the impression that the two were separate. However, you can change it back if you want. Ac2k (talk) 23:47, 27 September 2015 (UTC)

The nominotypical taxon even appears on the Turks and Caicos Islands. You are talking about Sitta pusilla insularis. Hayes, Barry, McKenzie and Barry were proposing to upgrade the subspecies to species in 2004 [1], but until now the status was not changes for all I know.
