Hello, Abn3566, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you created appears to be an article about yourself. This is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself has been or will shortly be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, but if you want to use the content from it, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! MuffledThud (talk) 18:19, 29 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Alex Nahon edit

A tag has been placed on Alex Nahon requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. November 2009 edit

This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you create an inappropriate page, such as Alex Nahon, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. ttonyb (talk) 20:33, 29 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Your article edit

The reasons your article has been deleted are explained in links from the paragraphs above, but there are a few more points I would like to make:

  • None of the references that I looked at actually mentioned you. If an article claims that someone appeared in a certain part at a particular theatre, a link to the website of that theatre is no use unless it actually shows a cast list with that name. This is because Wikipedia's WP:Verifiability policy requires that facts can be verified from a reliable source.
  • But in any case your achievements, though creditable, are not (yet) enough to make you notable in Wikipedia's sense. See WP:ENTERTAINER for the notability standard for actors.
  • The reasons why writing about yourself is strongly discouraged are explained at WP:Autobiography.
  • You wrote on the talk page that you wanted to "make a page so that I can control what people put about me on the internet". If you want a page that you can control, Wikipedia is not the place to come: nobody owns any Wikipedia article - see WP:Ownership of articles - and any article may be edited by anyone. At the bottom of every edit page it says, "If you do not want your writing to be edited, used, and redistributed at will, then do not submit it here." See Wikipedia's Law of Unintended Consequences.

File copyright problem with File:Renaldo.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Renaldo.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 21:13, 4 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

The file File:Alex Nahon as Eddie and Jessica Rubin as Clare.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 5 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
