Neighbours

edit

Hi there, I see you've been making some edits to the Neighbours article. I don't know if you're aware of this, but Neighbours is currently a good article nominee and any contributions to get it to this would be most welcome. You can find full details of what work needs carried out on the article and what work has already been carried out by going to Talk:Neighbours and you'll find it under the GA review section. Just thought I'd say hi. - JuneGloom07 (talk) 16:25, 20 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Abgreen. You have new messages at JuneGloom07's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Good evening, I just thought I'd drop by and introduce myself. I'm HJ Mitchell (just call me HJ) and I'm the GA reviewer for Neighbours, which just means I get the final say on whether it passes or fails. I've put it on hold and, as you've seen, two or three other editors have been working hard to get it up to scratch, so your help is much appreciated. Because some of the conversations are quite lengthy and it's best to avoid swamping the talk page, we've been having a lot of discussion on our own user talk pages. For example, there are three threads on my own page. Anyway, if you have any questions, just drop me a line. If you want to join in any of our discussions on the article, feel free or start another one. My talk page is always open (metaphorically) so feel free to drop by any time and I'll get back to you (if not, one of the others might!). Oh, and the review is here if you're not sure what needs to be done! Just {{tick}} off anything you've done like this Y. Have fun! HJMitchell You rang? 18:11, 20 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

HJ has added some more comments to the review, so have a look and see if there is anything you can help with. - JuneGloom07 (talk) 21:58, 20 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

File:Haydonschoolwebsite.png listed for deletion

License tagging for File:Haydon news logo.png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Haydon news logo.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 13:06, 5 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for File:Haydon news logo.png

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Haydon news logo.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 02:05, 2 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:HaydonTech.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:HaydonTech.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think that your page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. -- ТимофейЛееСуда. 19:08, 17 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:New Haydon Activity Hall.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:New Haydon Activity Hall.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Peripitus (Talk) 06:10, 14 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of File:Fronter231.png

edit

The file File:Fronter231.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

orphaned personal image, no foreseeable use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
