Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Zee Bangla, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. ----Rdp060707|talk 04:24, 14 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

February 2022

Hello, Abgh7654. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Zee Bangla, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. 2402:3A80:1C46:3BE8:1CE3:DBE0:E07:CAAB (talk) 14:24, 13 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello Abgh7654. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Abgh7654. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Abgh7654|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. TheBirdsShedTears (talk) 04:38, 21 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

@TheBirdsShedTears The user still continues to create article which looks like they are paid. Please see below for more details. Idhika Paul, Aditi Chatterjee, and Dhrubajyoti are all paid articles. What should be done? ItcouldbepossibleTalk 13:32, 22 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
Itcouldbepossible, i am going to ping Celestina007 for their opinion as they are experienced in identifying spam and paid editing. TheBirdsShedTears (talk) 13:40, 22 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
@TheBirdsShedTears Ok no problem. But by common wiki sense I can understand that this is paid editing. ItcouldbepossibleTalk 14:16, 22 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Thanks for the ping TBST, @Itcouldbepossible, Unfortunately I haven’t the time since I’m still at work. But few things to note, is there a specific time range you can recollect as to when you first noticed any dubious looking edits? Are they a new editor but already familiar with wiki-coding and binge creating non notable promotional articles ? Are they a WP:SLEEPER? In any case, there are many ways to address this, the first is easy and explained to me by Bradv, which is to send all sketchy looking promotional articles without RS to AFD. If they still persist, they are in violation of TOU. You can file a report to ANI, as WP:PAID expressly states ANI as a place to report undeclared paid editing, but ensure not to put personal information there, cogent evidence with private data should be sent to the relevant email associated with WP:PAID another option is to report it here, but private data must not be put there also. I’m sorry i’d expound on this when I am back from work, I may forget to, please notify me in the event that I do. Celestina007 (talk) 14:20, 22 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Celestina007 Well they kept on creating Ayan (actor), Ayan Nayak, and asked everyone to help him make that article. However it is totally promotional. You can also see the delete discussions as well. The thing is too complicated to say, so it is better that you investigate it when you get time. And yes, it looks like they are really familiar with wiki coding. The signature that they use is really complicated. Also as a support, you may take help from this. Thanking you in advance. Speedy deletion nomination of Megha Daw

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Megha Daw requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 2402:3A80:689:72A7:EC6B:2DB9:D6F3:9AC2 (talk) 17:19, 14 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
