Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. You are welcome to rephrase your comment as a civil criticism of the article. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 19:59, 3 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

HI Aaryan Nair. Please do not make personal attacks and discuss your issues in a WP:CIVIL fashion. You see, you have a warning. Next time someone says you are making a personal attack, you are likely to be banned or WP:BLOCKed. If you want to do something on WP, you have to do it without getting yourself blocked.MW 03:03, 4 October 2011 (UTC) The atmosphere on caste articles is very severe. Hordes upon hordes of eds have been blocked or banned in the past few months. So, I would suggest that one should be very careful on these articles. I would also suggest that before doing anything on these articles, one may develop ones' experience in dealing with disputes and also ones' editing skills. One would need to acquire a close familiarity with core policies like WP:NPOV, WP:V, WP:NOR. Other policies and guidelines like WP:DUE and WP:TPG are also of prime importance IMO. To acquire skills, one would do well to hang around the talk pages of some Western articles (ones which are having some disputes) and see how the eds there make their points and how they decide which material and which sources are good or not. The best eds are to be found on Western articles IMO. One can learn a lot from them. Fine editing skills are also important. You can create your own user sandbox by clicking and following the instructions here. For future easy access, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your userpage. I would suggest that if you want to achieve results, you gain some experience and acquire fine editing skills and then come back and make your case on controversial articles. Trying to do anything without the required skills may be frustrating. These are my suggestions only. What you do is up to you. Cheers.MW 08:33, 4 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
