I cant exactly figure out how to edit about Phrixus, but there isn't much info there. Here is something I know:

Phrixus and his sister, Helle had been about to be sacrificed when a golden flying ram swooped down to save them. It flew all the way to Colchus, but Helle had fallen of the golden ram while they were flying over a narrow body of water which was later named Hellespoint in her honor. When Phrixus arrived in Colchus he was welcomed by King Aeetes (most likely due to his mode of transportation) and then went and sacrificed the ram to the gods and hung the golden sheep skin in a grove. King Aeetes now then claimed this skin to be his and holds it dear. He does not take a liking to those who come after his sheep skin and plan to trample into his sacred grove

Hopefully this is helpful to anyone wondering about Phixus, and please don't worry about its reliability, for I have checked this info over and over again in multiple books and looked at many sites as well as the fact I have heard it in class. It has been researched thoroughly, so please don't worry.
