DYK nomination of Brigsby Bear

Hello! Your submission of Brigsby Bear at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) at your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pamzeis (talkcontribs) 05:18, 19 July 2021 (UTC)

No Vandalism intended

Hey not sure how else to contact you. I was trying to undo my non-free rational descriptions since they were applied to the wrong image. I've been trying to add a low res image where you can still read the building block credits but someone in wikipedia keeps reverting it to an extremely pixelated image where you can only read title. It doesn't make sense since higher resolution images of posters are being posted everywhere as promotional assets of each film. It's not a copyright issue, they are being made accessible to download for free on the Film distributor's company so they should be able to be posted without copyright constraints. Feels a bit outdated. That's all, not vandalism intended, if you look at my edit history you would see that I have been adding constructive information towards the article in question. Assuming vandalism for a deletion is a bit too much. All good. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Postscript4 (talkcontribs) 22:36, 17 August 2021 (UTC)

follow up about GA review

Hi there,

I was just doing a DYK review for "We Interrupt This Program" and saw there were a nontrivial number of outstanding issues for something that just passed GA. Sentences with quotes but no citations after them, direct quotes from sources without being in quotes in the article, a couple sentences talking about Marvel merch cited only to Marvel, and multiple typos, for example. Looks like the GA review might've been a little thin for such a long article. I've outlined what I saw in the DYK review, but didn't go through most of it so carefully. I mainly just stopped to check when something stood out as strange (like "brilliant" outside of a quote). This is mainly an FYI. I don't [think?] there's precedent for reopening a recently closed GA review? — Rhododendrites talk \\ 14:24, 9 September 2021 (UTC)

This may have been premature. The nominator filled me in about a few things. Seems I may have had some misconceptions and didn't know this was related to several other reviews that indirectly applied. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 15:05, 9 September 2021 (UTC)

Substance before style

I do not believe the style guideline take precedence over the need for WP:VERIFICATION. I think I understand your position but in my opinion the litany of poorly sourced budget figures unfortunately means that clear and unambiguous verification is absolutely necessary. Please see Talk:Cry Macho (film). -- 109.79.162.117 (talk) 14:45, 16 September 2021 (UTC)

GAN favour

Hey SDFNC, you've been kind enough to review a few of my GANs in the past, and I was wondering if you able to pick up the one I listed a few days ago on the UEFA Euro 2012 Final? It's the last in a topic I'm pulling together so it'd be brilliant to just get this last one promoted? If not, no problem at all of course. Cheers again for all the work you put in. Draft:Muti (film)

Hello,

I just wanted to know: do you believe Draft:Muti (film) passes WP:NFF and is ready to be moved to article mainspace? The Film Creator (talk) 17:01, 18 September 2021 (UTC)

@The Film Creator: Yes. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 17:03, 18 September 2021 (UTC)
Thanks, Some Dude. I just wanted your approval before moving it to mainspace. The Film Creator (talk) 17:04, 18 September 2021 (UTC)

Talk:UEFA Euro 2012 Final/GA1

Good morning Some Dude From North Carolina,

Just a quick query about the above GA review. Thanks to you for agreeing to take on the review, and I was just wondering if you have an idea when you'll be able to get some feedback to us? Cheers  — Amakuru (talk) 14:09, 20 September 2021 (UTC)

@Amakuru: I'll try my best to add comments today. I'll add them no later than Wednesday. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 14:23, 20 September 2021 (UTC)
Thanks, appreciated!  — Amakuru (talk) 14:31, 20 September 2021 (UTC)
Hi, do you think you'll get to this today? Cheers. The Rambling Man (Keep wearing the mask...) 17:54, 22 September 2021 (UTC)
Hello again Some Dude From North Carolina, and I hope it's a good morning for you. I think all the points you raised have been looked at now, so if you're able to either sign it off or add any new points that you may have, that would be appreciated. Many apologies for myself and TRM "harassing" you continually about this particular GA, but there is a rationale - as you may or may not know TRM and I are both involved in the WP:WikiCup, and the current final round is due to finish at the end of November, so the sooner we're able to get the article up and nominated at FAC the better, with the hope that it will pass that hurdle before end of Nov! Obviously if you're busy with other things that's understandable too, but I thought it worth asking... Cheers  — Amakuru (talk) 13:30, 23 September 2021 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Old (film)

The article Old (film) you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold  . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needing to be addressed. If these are fixed within 7 days, the article will pass; otherwise it may fail. See Talk:Old (film) for issues which need to be addressed. WP:Curly

Hey! Thanks for fixing my errors, I don't mean to do it, or cause any trouble. I'm just a little confused, am I suppose to use " instead of ' ? Thanks. Cinemacriterion (talk) 22:20, 23 September 2021 (UTC)

@Cinemacriterion: Some websites have what Wikipedia calls curly apostrophes (‘). They are slightly different. It is recommended to remove them and replace them with normal ones ('). Also, if a source title uses quotation marks ("), it is recommended to simply turn them into apostrophes ('). This is because references are automatically put in quotations (MOS:QWQ). Hope that helps. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 22:24, 23 September 2021 (UTC)

Wonka

Um what do you mean my edits were unexplained? I clearly stated in my edit summaries that Ronin isn’t a reliable source. Rusted AutoParts 00:03, 27 September 2021 (UTC)

@Rusted AutoParts: Why do you say The Ronin is an unreliable source? Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 00:18, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
I asked about it on one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe film pages (presently locating the exact discussion). I believe @Favre1fan93: stated something that they don’t specify their sources, they simply go “we can confirm”. It just doesn’t come off as distinguishable from other likely fan run websites and should be discouraged from being used. I was honestly surprised you would replace the more direct citation of McGarvey’s resume in favour of it. Rusted AutoParts 00:25, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
@Rusted AutoParts: I added it because it confirms the production designer and an additional filming location. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 00:36, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
Here is a similar discussion about similar websites. I would like it if you restored my edits due to their unreliability. Rusted AutoParts 00:43, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
@Rusted AutoParts: "weakly reliable" is still reliable. It was suggested to find a better source so instead of removing the content, I would advise the same. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 00:54, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
Well, if ROnin is remaining for the time being, I added better source needed tags to them. At present, no reliable sources are reporting on Crowely or filming at Leavesden. Rusted AutoParts 01:08, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) You don't have to agree with me, but I consider The Ronin reliable as its founder (and the writer of the articles in question, I believe), Christopher Marc, is also a writer for IGN. Pamzeis (talk) 00:58, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
That still doesn't make Ronin itself reliable. As stated, their report origins aren't often clear, they just state "they" can confirm the report. Cites like Deadline, Hollywood Reporter, Variety have been in the industry for a very long time with very apparent ties within it, their reliability was essentially grandfathered in. The Ronin is relatively new, and their reports are often not supported by other websites. In this instance, their report about McGarvey was not corroborated by anyone else. No other trade websites corroborated their McGarvey report, the way I found out was via his resume. At this point, it isn't unfair to consider Ronin could have seen the resume as well and used it for their report. And then there's their Leavesden report, which I see next to no other source corroborating it either. Sure, placeholder they can be fine, but they shouldn't be left to remain if they aren't corroborated. Rusted AutoParts 01:14, 27 September 2021 (UTC)

@Some Dude From North Carolina: I found the Ronin specific discussion at Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Favre's assesment: "Nope. It's essentially a blog as it's one person running it." Rusted AutoParts 01:20, 27 September 2021 (UTC)

Why did you ping me?

Hey, m8! In your edit summary on Ghostbusters: Afterlife you pinged me... what on Earth are you referring to?--DisneyMetalhead (talk) 23:17, 22 September 2021 (UTC)

@DisneyMetalhead: Special:Diff/1045867335 – it was about uploading files. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 23:18, 22 September 2021 (UTC)
The way it was coded, is how it posted when using the Upload file wizard. I'm not sure how to do it differently. Cheers m8!--DisneyMetalhead (talk) 00:02, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
@DisneyMetalhead: I recommend using Special:Upload. You can make the sidebar send you there by adding the following to your Special:MyPage/common.js:
var uwz = document.getElementById("n-upload");
if (uwz) { uwz.children[0].href = "/wiki/Special:Upload"; }

Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 01:44, 23 September 2021 (UTC)

  • Sweet, thanks m8! How do I add it to the "MyPage/common.js"?--DisneyMetalhead (talk) 23:00, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
@DisneyMetalhead: Simply go to Special:MyPage/common.js, click edit, and copy-and-paste the code into the first line. When you click submit, it should work. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 23:02, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
@Some Dude From North Carolina: -- I did so, and I'm not at all sure that it worked, nor what I should be seeing in my tools.--DisneyMetalhead (talk) 23:09, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
@DisneyMetalhead: When you click "Upload file" on the sidebar to the left of your screen, it should send you to Special:Upload. P.S., the code should be split into two lines. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 23:10, 23 September 2021 (UTC)

This is what my page looks like. I copied the text thta you listed above^, but I don't see anything happening when I submit/publish the changes.--DisneyMetalhead (talk) 23:16, 23 September 2021 (UTC)

@DisneyMetalhead: I believe there are a few spaces missing. Could that be it? Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 23:24, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
I honestly don't know! I have never done this, and so I don't know how it's supposed to look...nor do I know what it's supposed to do, haha. Cheers m8!--DisneyMetalhead (talk) 15:56, 25 September 2021 (UTC)
@DisneyMetalhead: If the code works correctly, every time you click "Upload file," you should be led to Special:Upload instead of the Upload Wizard. With this, you can upload images using proper non-free use rationales, like the one I use:
{{Non-free use rationale poster
| Article =
| Use = Infobox
| Media = film
| Name =
| Distributor =
| Source =
}}
Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 22:42, 25 September 2021 (UTC)

I see it loads differently now. Would I use that coding^ you provided in the "Summary box" of the Upload File page?--DisneyMetalhead (talk) 01:18, 27 September 2021 (UTC)

@DisneyMetalhead: Yes. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 01:25, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
Interesting! Thank you for the pointers m8! I'll give it a go the next time I upload a file.--DisneyMetalhead (talk) 01:44, 27 September 2021 (UTC)

Kate (film)

Since you were the person who uploaded File:Kate (film).jpg film poster in the first place it would probably be best if you took at Kate (film) and commented on the article talk page. There was an unnecessary change of the image from JPG to PNG format.[1] I don't think the person who made the change understands that it was unnecessary. Ultimately you may think the change was trivial and not care about it reverting it at all but I'd appreciate your input. -- 109.76.198.55 (talk) 14:09, 27 September 2021 (UTC)

Ask for reviewing my GA nominated articles

Hi, if you remember, you once reviewed one of my GA nominated articles. I wanted to ask you if you can, I would be so much grateful and honored if you review my newer nominated articles, it's been months that no one has reviewed them, while I guess they do not have notable issues and reviewing them wouldn't take much time. These are some of them: Ricky Martin (1999 album), Fiebre (Ricky Martin song), No Se Me Quita, María (Ricky Martin song), Tu Recuerdo (Ricky Martin song). I understand you are busy currently, but the articles are now in queue for months and I would really appreciate it if you devote a bit of your time and review them. Thanks a lot. آرمین هویدایی (talk) 21:16, 6 October 2021 (UTC)

Citations

There is no rule that the use of "cite X" referencing templates is mandatory; it's an available option, not a requirement. If you want to convert a plain reference to a templated reference, then you're certainly welcome to do that at your leisure, but you are not free or welcome to criticize other people in your edit summaries for not already having used one, because there is no rule that their use is consistently required. Bearcat (talk) 17:57, 3 October 2021 (UTC)

@Bearcat: Using the template makes archiving sources easier. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 01:53, 4 October 2021 (UTC)

It is rather disconcerting to get pinged for comma placement errors. Never heard of anybody doing that before. Kire1975 (talk) 01:18, 9 October 2021 (UTC)

@Kire1975: My bad. Just wanted to ensure you knew commas go before citations. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 01:22, 9 October 2021 (UTC)
I thanked you three times for the same thing before your latest ping. I post a lot of citations with commas near them. If I missed one today, I blame it on the plumber coming unexpectedly maybe. Thank you again. Not necessary in the future. I promise I'm not a serial comma misplacer. Cheers. Kire1975 (talk) 01:32, 9 October 2021 (UTC)

Can you please stop with these kind of pings? As stated above it’s a preference not a requirement Rusted AutoParts 22:11, 14 October 2021 (UTC)

@Rusted AutoParts: Wikipedia articles should be consistent. Please do not edit by "preference" but for consistency. Not using the template is one thing, changing the way information is given or worded is another. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 22:15, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
Wikipedia apparently doesn't care about consistency, given the discussion I tried to initiate over at Talk:Clifford Barry. There's backdoors for every policy, so trying to maintain consistency is basically a losing battle/ Rusted AutoParts 22:30, 14 October 2021 (UTC)

Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 01:49, 16 October 2021 (UTC)

@Tintor2: I am currently working on reviewing six good articles. If I get those done, I'll be happy to review your nominated article. If we were to exchange reviews, Cry Macho is the only article I have nominated that is not under review. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 02:20, 16 October 2021 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Will Speck and Josh Gordon

The article Will Speck and Josh Gordon you nominated as a good article has passed  ; see Talk:Will Speck and Josh Gordon for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On This Day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. The Listener (film) moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, The Listener (film), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of \"Draft:\" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the \"Submit your draft for review!\" button at the top of the page. Blanking citations and changing sourced content

Please do not blank citations or replace sourced content with unsourced content, as you did in The Happening (2008 film). NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 05:00, 18 October 2021 (UTC)

If you continue disruptively removing citations, I will block you. You are wrong that citations can be removed by anyone who thinks the content does not need to be sourced. See template:Infobox film if you are unsure what the instructions are for this. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 04:48, 19 October 2021 (UTC)
As an added note, it really doesn't matter what the billing block says. We go by what reliable sources say, not what companies appear on promotional material – they could potentially be production companies, they could be distributors, or they could simply be contractually obligated to appear for no production-related reasons. This is why we use reliable sources to source this content. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 04:58, 19 October 2021 (UTC)
@NinjaRobotPirate: We are having the same issue we had at Jeepers Creepers (2001 film). I am rewriting parts of the article but you are reverting them because of "blanking". Here's the edit where you do the same thing. And remember, you were reverted because I was simply removing sources added a decade ago. For The Happening, you also reverted my actions to format the infobox as listed at Template:Infobox film, where a new consensus was found. Please don't revert that. I also rewrote the lead because I rewrote a large part of the article. Please don't revert that. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 11:52, 19 October 2021 (UTC)
Also, please do not revert my edits that fix URL links. Do not revert my attempts to follow MOS:FILM and the guideline at WP:FILMLEAD for films produced by more than one country. You also added a reference to Metacritic, creating a duplicate. Please do not do this. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 03:39, 20 October 2021 (UTC)

Copyvio on Rust (Upcoming film)

Why did you add a premise copied word-for-word from https://deadline.com/2021/10/jensen-ackles-alec-baldwin-travis-fimmel-in-rust-1234854342/ in this edit? Moneytrees🏝️Talk/CCI guide 17:23, 22 October 2021 (UTC)

@Moneytrees: It was not copied word-for-word. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 17:54, 22 October 2021 (UTC)
Your addition: infamous Western outlaw Harland Rust has a bounty on his head. When his estranged 13-year-old grandson Lucas is convicted of an accidental murder and sentenced to hang, Rust travels to Kansas to break him out of prison. Together, the two fugitives must outrun the legendary U.S. Marshal Wood Helm and bounty-hunter Fenton "Preacher" Lang.
Source: The story follows an infamous Western outlaw Harland Rust (Baldwin) has had a bounty on his head for as long as he can remember. When his estranged 13-year-old grandson Lucas (Noon) is convicted of an accidental murder and sentenced to hang, Rust travels to Kansas to break him out of prison. Together, the two fugitives must outrun the legendary U.S. Marshal Wood Helm (Ackles) and bounty-hunter Fenton “Preacher” Lang (Fimmel) who are hot on their tail.
Maybe it isn't word-for-word in the sense you copied the paragraph without editing it, but every word from your addition comes from the source. It appears you didn't even capitalize "infamous" when copying over. This is a copyvio, please don't do this again. Moneytrees🏝️Talk/CCI guide 18:10, 22 October 2021 (UTC)
@Moneytrees: I recently added a reworded premise. Is it okay now? Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 18:16, 22 October 2021 (UTC)
Yes, that seems OK to me. Moneytrees🏝️Talk/CCI guide 23:02, 22 October 2021 (UTC)

prop gun on Rust

FWIW, the media have it wrong. Anything firing a bullet is a firearm. A "prop gun" would be, like, something out of rubber. Baldwin discharged a firearm. You'll be waiting a long time for the "reliable sources" to get it right.174.0.48.147 (talk) 01:12, 23 October 2021 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) On Wikipedia, we do what reliable source say, not the truth. Our personal opinions are irrelevant. Pamzeis (talk) 01:51, 23 October 2021 (UTC)
That's just it, isn't it. Those who work in the industry know what the facts are. Facts aren't opinions.174.0.48.147 (talk) 02:33, 23 October 2021 (UTC)
@174.0.48.147: The term "prop gun" does not necessarily mean a toy or fake gun. According to USA Today, "prop guns can also refer to functional firearms that discharge blank ammunition." Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 02:54, 23 October 2021 (UTC)

Dead for a Dollar

I would have thought that someone with over 30k edits would know by now that all editors are required to assume good faith except in cases of obvious vandalism, disruptive editing or personal attacks. If you care to look at my contributions history, it should be immediately apparent that, among other things, I am running a clean-up exercise of articles in which WP:WESTERNS have an interest. The project is currently engaged in an extensive restoration that includes the application of standards to improve article and category content.

Western article infoboxes are one of the main problem areas. It is invariably the case that some variables like alt, budget and gross are never completed and so they sit there without parameters for ever and a day. This is poor infobox management and so conscientious editors remove these no-parameter variables because there is simply no point to them. That does not mean the variables cannot be restored if, for example, someone should belatedly find the budget and gross figures. You should notice, by the way, that I am not removing other incomplete variables like image, screenplay and cinematography because these usually do get filled eventually. Plus, cinematography is very useful for alignment.

Looking at your talk page, I'm seeing quite a lot of complaints about you. In the last few days alone, you have been warned about blanking, removing sources and copyvio. Now you appear to be indulging in both WP:OWN and WP:IDONTLIKEIT as regards this article. Transgressions like these make me wonder if there is a WP:CIR issue here. I suggest you take some time out to learn how the site works by studying its policies and guidelines. In future, when you don't understand something done by an experienced, competent editor that isn't an obvious mistake, ask them politely and respectfully what their rationale is. You do NOT react by hurling bad faith accusations of vandalism around.

I will not restore the infobox edits in Dead for a Dollar at this time because of WP:BRD. It seems there are a few of these upcoming film articles and I'll consider making a separate sub-category for them to keep them out of the AWB thrust. No Great Shaker (talk) 10:35, 24 October 2021 (UTC)

You have excelled yourself with WP:SHORTDESC. This message is also relevant to the Rust production article. You have said in edit summaries that Template:Infobox film adds an automatically generated short description. Well, true, it certainly does if there isn't one there already. You do NOT remove an existing short description so that the template can generate another default like "American film" (which is untrue because neither of these productions are films yet, as they haven't been completed). You may of course amend the short description, as I had done in keeping with normal practice. I think you had better watch your step and use some WP:COMMONSENSE. If I have any more problems with your irresponsible editing, I will be taking you to ANI. No Great Shaker (talk) 20:32, 24 October 2021 (UTC)

Nominating List of accolades received by El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie for a featured list.

Good evening. I saw that you had previously successfully nominated List of awards and nominations received by Breaking Bad and List of awards and nominations received by Better Call Saul to become featured lists. As you may have seen, I just created a page for List of accolades received by El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie after moving the accolade table from the original page to here, and adding the appropriate information. I wanted to ask if you think this has a chance to be promoted to a featured list? Is it the same process as nominating a featured article? And do you think you would be able to get the same editors who supported the other lists to give their feedback if I were to nominate it? Flowerkiller1692 (talk) 03:36, 1 November 2021 (UTC)

@Flowerkiller1692: If the list is nominated, editors will point out that 28 is a small number of nominations for a separate article. Better Call Saul has at least 150 award nominations and Breaking Bad earned almost 250. However, WP:SIZESPLIT can be used to avoid those arguments. To nominate, see WP:FLC. Once the nomination is up, editors will leave comments and their feedback throughout the week. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 03:49, 1 November 2021 (UTC)
@Some Dude From North Carolina: Fair. I will not nominate it then. Thanks for the pointer. Flowerkiller1692 (talk) 04:03, 1 November 2021 (UTC)

Cry Macho

Box offices are updated regularly every day. The reason I didn't change the figures in the articles is because the difference is too small (It's only gone up by few thousands of dollars). But the information in the source is new. AbsolutelyFiring (talk) 23:52, 3 November 2021 (UTC)

Press Play

Hey, there. Well done with creating the fantastic start for the Press Play article - let's hope the film matches the dedication you've put in! I was wondering, would you be able to update the page for the producer Jonathan Schwartz, by adding a sentence that says it has been acquired and is set for a 2022 release? Also, could you add a link to Press Play in the paragraph, where it's mentioned? Better Call Saul webisodes information

Hello,

I saw that you have reverted my edits to the episode title information for the webisodes on Better Call Saul. These are officially released mobisodes with ties to the series, and I was planning on adding them to the episode page, similar to what was done for Breaking Bad - List of Breaking Bad episodes#Minisodes. I was also planning on adding sources to show that these are part of the series [2] [3]. Wanted to ask what your objections are to this? Flowerkiller1692 (talk) 19:34, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

@Flowerkiller1692: The webisodes can be summarized in the article of the season they aired in through prose. The table does not, and could not add information valuable to a reader. They are essentially advertisements promoting the show and adding a table would be unnecessary. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 19:39, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

I'm not sure what this means. There was no indication that THR was the originating source, nor does it really matter? If Deadline cited THR as the origin that's one thing, and I would've went to THR but since there wasn;t, Variety, Deadline and THR all exist on the same level of reliability so it doesn't truly matter which source is used, so long as it has all necessary info. I just really fail to see what this edit summary was for. Rusted AutoParts 23:56, 30 November 2021 (UTC)

Films in development

So I guess that "In development" sections to a list of a studio's films isn't necessary anymore, because that's basically what you are implying when you remove that section. Plus, you even removed other films that are in pre-production. What is up with that? ZX2006XZ (talk) 13:49, 7 December 2021 (UTC)

@ZX2006XZ: They are not necessary. It is a violation of WP:CRYSTAL and WP:NFF to include them. They have not entered production. They are not notable. They do not need to be mentioned. A film should only be included once it has entered production. See List of A24 films, which is currently nominated for FL. We don't know if the "in development" films will ever be made so including them is trivial. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 13:53, 7 December 2021 (UTC)

@ZX2006XZ: Yes you were. Check out WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. All of these articles should remove the "in development" section. They are violations of WP:NFF and WP:CRYSTAL. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 14:33, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
@Some Dude From North Carolina: But when did this start happening, nothing like this has came up until now ZX2006XZ (talk) 14:41, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
@ZX2006XZ: It didn't start happening. These were always the guidelines we should have gone by. Someone didn't notice them and began adding films in development. All we can do is fix their errors by removing these sections from list articles. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 14:43, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
@Some Dude From North Carolina: Just to let you know, some, if not, many films tend to be in active development and pre-production. ZX2006XZ (talk) 14:46, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
@ZX2006XZ: So? They are still not notable. Being in development does not mean they will be made. Sources normally do not report on a film's development phase. They also do not report if a film has become inactive. Listing films in development is trivial until they begin filming. That is why we have drafts for films in development. They can only become articles when production begins per WP:NFF. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 14:47, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
@Some Dude From North Carolina: Trivial how? Besides, it's not like any of the movies have actual articles. ZX2006XZ (talk) 14:50, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
@ZX2006XZ: They do not have articles because they are not notable. Listing them is literally against Wikipedia guidelines. It is WP:CRYSTAL to assume the films will ever be made. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 14:51, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
@Some Dude From North Carolina: But what about their sources? Just because a film that's in development or pre-production and doesn't have and article, that doesn't really mean that can't be listed for to people to learn about while going on Wikipedia. ZX2006XZ (talk) 14:54, 7 December 2021 (UTC)
@ZX2006XZ: That does NOT matter. A film cannot have an article until it begins filming. WP:NFF says this is because once a film is in development, we do not know if it will be made. A film can be canceled and we would not know. It could be put on hiatus and we would not know. WP:CRYSTAL says we should not list things that we think will happen, like expecting a film to be made. A film can be in development for years or even decades. We will never know what is going on while it is in development. Including them is trivial because the film has not been made. A reader will know it was announced but not that it will be made or released. There are two guidelines that say we should remove the "in development" section. If you're only objection is that listing them is for "people to learn", then you are not understanding the guidelines. Some Dude From North Carolina (talk) 14:59, 7 December 2021 (UTC)

Hi there Some Dude From North Carolina. I'm reaching out simply to ask if you might still be interested in re-reviewing the article Nicole Kidman for GA status.
