Amyema cambagei

edit

Hi @AUSRand:. Nice article on Amyema cambagei. It splotted up on my radar because it linked with NTFlora (via the taxonbar) which it shouldn't have done, because as your article states, and the map shows, it is not found in the NT. When I clicked on the link from the taxonbar to the NTFlora entry I found that you had inadvertently made a link (using the from parameter) to Amyema benthamii. It's always a good idea to check some of those links at the bottom, since (if the people editing wikidata have done the right thing) the links should take you to the species whose article you are writing. (In fact I now always look for the Qvalue (Q15378422, in this case) for the article prior to writing anything, put it in my taxonbar, and in the preview, click to the various sites to help me compose the article.). PS. Welcome to wikipedia. MargaretRDonald (talk) 14:52, 29 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi @MargaretRDonald:. thanks. I'm still getting used to how things work and how to edit. I hadn't worked out the Taxonbar or even paid a lot of attention to it. I'll see how I go with my next species. I'm IDing the plants on my property and when one doesn't appear in Wikipedia I'm adding it. I'm still getting used to how all the wiki pages connect together and who reviews what. thanks for the explanation. AUSRand (talk) 00:20, 30 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

@AUSRand: No worries. (I love the taxonbar - and wikidata...) Cheers, MargaretRDonald (talk) 01:56, 30 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

File:Cover image of LOTL Magazine (April 1997).jpg

edit

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages.
