Take me to church song edit

Isn't this song against theism? ALI ANSARI85 (talk) 16:35, 6 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

I don't think the artist has said it's against theism, although it may criticize some aspects of religion. You can read what's written in the "Background and composition" section. And if you feel that there is missing information, please feel free to add it and cite the reliable source that you got the information from. Happy editing! -- Fyrael (talk) 18:42, 6 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

In a part of the lyrics of this song, he says: I love my lover very much and points out that even God should show himself to me. I still worship my mistress This is the opposite ALI ANSARI85 (talk) 08:24, 7 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

I wouldn't say that song lyrics claiming to worship a person make it an anti-theist song, but anyway neither my analysis of the song nor yours matters. Information on wikipedia needs to reflect what reliable sources say, not what we as editors think. As it says in one of the five pillars linked above, "Editors' personal experiences, interpretations, or opinions do not belong on Wikipedia." -- Fyrael (talk) 14:28, 7 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by adding your personal analysis or synthesis into articles, as you did at Take Me To Church, you may be blocked from editing. I noticed you’ve edited the page three times with the aforementioned content. Please refrain from doing so without reliable and notable sources. Thank you! I did not write my opinion, anyone who reads the lyrics will find that this song has anti-Christian content! We see him say: I pray like a dog in the church .... This is against Christianity! ALI ANSARI85 (talk) 06:13, 8 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Why do you think the singer himself must say that this song is anti-Christian? Needless to say, the singer himself will understand this from the content of the song. Why are you so irrational ?? ALI ANSARI85 (talk) 06:16, 8 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

You are in fact giving your own analysis. Please read one of the many links we've included about reliable sources. You MUST include a citation to one of these if you wish to add anything anywhere on Wikipedia. Also, please please actually read through the full article, which gives a much better and full description of how this song relates to religion than your inaccurate and over-simplified statement. -- Fyrael (talk) 14:20, 8 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Now it is clear that you did not understand the lyrics at all 😐 ALI ANSARI85 (talk) 19:10, 8 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

I have been telling you for a long time to pay attention to the lyrics, but you are still making fun of yourself. You do! ALI ANSARI85 (talk) 19:10, 8 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

You can say "pay attention to the lyrics" as many times as you like, but that won't change Wikipedia policy about citing sources. If you cannot understand this, then I'm sorry to say you will not have a future editing here. -- Fyrael (talk) 20:10, 8 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by inserting unpublished information or your personal analysis into an article, as you did at Take Me To Church. All information must be sourced per WP:RELIABLE. Please do not perform any further reverts on the page per WP:3RR. --Bettydaisies (talk) 20:27, 8 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
