Edit Summaries edit

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. - 220 of Borg 07:11, 4 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

February 2012 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Moree, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. 220 of Borg 07:16, 4 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

It good to see you adding references to articles such Gwydir River‎. However bonzle.com is not considered a reliable source and so cannot be used as a reference on Wikipedia. - Shiftchange (talk) 07:55, 4 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Mille, New South Wales edit

The article Mille, New South Wales has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Zero indication this is even a real locality, let alone a populated place that would meet WP:GEOFEAT. No results on the Australian Place Names search, nothing on GNIS, no coordinates to check out, nothing.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ♠PMC(talk) 16:14, 29 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
