March 2016 edit

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Canadian artist-run centres. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Please do not restore the list to Canadian artist-run centres. Take it to the talk page. However, the list is in violation of WP:EL and a list with names that are not linked to Wikipedia articles is pointless. A list for ARCs is unmanageable as there is no definitive list of what counts as an ARC, which ones are still in existence, and so on freshacconci talk to me 00:44, 7 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please send me back the source materials for what you deleted. I will put it into my sandbox and improve the citations and materials before I publish it. I am a new wikipedia editor, so it would be helpful to have a better dialogue before simple deletions. ACOLL011 (talk) 00:56, 7 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

It's better to respond after someone's response. I've tried talking to you about this -- in two edit summaries, my talk page, and this talk page. I appreciate your efforts, but when someone makes a legitimate deletion, with a valid reason, it's bad form to immediately restore it. It's disruptive and indicates to other editors that you are not willing to read what they wrote in summaries and talk pages and that you are not interested in collaboration. Your edits are available in the article history. Click on View History at the top, scroll down to your edits and click on one of them. An earlier version of the article is available to copy/paste. freshacconci talk to me 01:03, 7 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Gotcha. Didn't see your summaries because as I explained above, I am new around here. It would be helpful to have constructive feedback about the ways in which examples of the centres in the artist run network might more productively be worked into the article. Ie. would it be helpful to have a region by region breakdown or by charactistic types of centres (i.e. production centres, galleries, creation spaces... etc). Edit summaries edit

And please include edit summaries when you make edits. This is considered polite and allows other editors to know what you did. freshacconci talk to me 00:47, 7 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Ways to improve Lisa Jackson (filmmaker) edit

Hi, I'm Yadáyiⁿga. ACOLL011, thanks for creating Lisa Jackson (filmmaker)!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please add footnotes to more of the 'awards' section if you have the time. Thank you!

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Yadáyiⁿga (talk) 02:07, 18 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
