User talk:A12n/International and Heritage Languages Association (IHLA)

On the talk p.for the deleted article, you said, with respect to my close for delete at "@DGG: Surprised that this article was deleted. Was the information about IHLA's being awarded the Linguapax Prize not considered? Although the article did need some work, the organization clearly was acknowledged beyond its local area of activity." (That's not really the ideal place to discuss it, for nobody else will notice--the usual place to ask is on the closer's talk page)

I did this on the basis that there is no evidence that winning the prize is sufficient for notability. But I see the information about the prize was added very late in the discussion, and it might be possible to say there was a need to extend the discussion to consider it. Revisiting the article and the discussion,I continue to think it is not enough, and that the article is so much devoted to matters of no concern except to members of the group, that it would be very unlikely to pass a second afd in its current state.

As I assume you may want to work on it, I am undeleting and moving to your userspace as User:A12n/International and Heritage Languages Association (IHLA). It cannot stay there forever--if you think its ready for mainspace ask me on my talk page, but if you think it isn't going to make it, place a G7 speedy delete tag on it.
