editHello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to Exodus of Kashmiri Hindus does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Kautilya3 (talk) 16:26, 27 January 2018 (UTC)

Welcome!
editHello, A.A Ghatge, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, your edit to spymaster does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.
There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Questions page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Below are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. editImportant Notice
editThis is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

missing signature on talk pages
editBTW, what's the deal that when you post on talk pages, your signature doesn't get appended. Even if you fail to include the "four tilde" sequence, this normally gets appended by some robot that comes along afterwards. Fabrickator (talk) 20:03, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
- Hello, Fabrickator. If someone else happens to add a comment to that page before the bot has gone past, it omits the missing signature. Iryna Harpy (talk) 10:23, 18 July 2020 (UTC)

editYour edits to Saffron terror are highly tendentious. Please start a discussion at Talk:Saffron terror and attempt to get consensus for your version. Putting your opinions on user talkpages, as you did here, is pointless; the article talkpage is the place for content discussion. (Although Vanamonde93, a highly experienced editor, did in fact give you good advice in response; please listen to it.) Currently you are editing like a bull in a china shop. Bishonen | tålk 21:00, 20 October 2020 (UTC).
- Please do not simply revert when someone else has reverted your additions (e.g. this). Discuss the issue on said article's talk page. Please see WP:BRD. Thanks. GreaterPonce665 (TALK) 00:03, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.

edit Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Rajputisation into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Kautilya3 (talk) 07:09, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
Provisional Government of Free India
editThere is a long standing consensus on Wikipedia and by historians in general that the Provisional Government of Free India was indeed a Japanese puppet state. This is in keeping with other similar entities established during in Asia the Second World War by Axis Powers such as the State of Burma, Second Philippine Republic, Wang Jingwei regime and Manchukuo all of which are described as "Puppet State of the Empire of Japan" in their info-boxes. Additionally, Puppet states established in Europe by the Axis powers such as the Italian Social Republic, Independent State of Croatia, Government of National Salvation and Vice France are described as "Puppet States of Germany" in their info-boxes. The term "Puppet state" is commonly used to refer to a government that is under the effective control of another power, and is not intended to be derogatory or disrespectful, it is simply a unemotional description of a state of affairs between governments. Please discuss before resorting to unilateral actions to change this statement. Cordyceps-Zombie (talk) 16:22, 2 February 2021 (UTC)

editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Yeshwant Ghadge, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Fascist Italy. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents, (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

editYour recent editing history at Subhas Chandra Bose shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
