Mildred Ruth Mottahedeh

edit

As I am niece to the late Mildred Ruth Mottahedeh, I don’t understand why the article about her doesn’t state her reliion as a member of the Jewish faith. She made up the Dutch Reformed, but did become a Baha’i. Whomever wrote and edited this article had many other discrepancies, but I was allowed to change these. Thank you for your time.

Hi, Flora, and welcome to Wikipedia. It's great you are editing here. However, I had to revert an edit made to Mildred Mottahedeh (here) because it did not provide a reliable source to support the change. On Wikipedia, all information must be verifiable, meaning it has to be cited to another source. original research, or information you know first-hand is not acceptable, because nobody else can verify it. In this case, the statement that Mottahedeh was a member of the Dutch Reformed Church is supported by several news articles, including an article in the Philadelphia inquirer where she herself says "I was born Dutch Reformed, but who wants to be that?". When you changed the article, you provided no sources to substantiate that she was Jewish. Do let me know if you can find any, and I'd be happy to work with you.
