August 2016 edit

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Aeroflot Flight 593 does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! Jetstreamer Talk 21:57, 27 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

RE: User talk:Gulf 4590 edit

Hello, per WP:BLANKING: a user can remove warnings from their talk page if they want. I reverted your undoing of his removal per that policy. Have a good one and happy editing! Kb03 (talk) 14:08, 12 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

I see you have also done the same to a number of other user talk pages. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 14:30, 12 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

January 2019 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, discussion pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thanks for what may have been a well-intentioned correction, but don't edit (or correct) other editors' comments on Talk pages. General Ization Talk 00:13, 2 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

General Ization I would keep an eye on this IP. There's a chance they could be JC7V editing signed out. Boomer VialBe ready to fight the horde!Contribs 22:14, 6 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Anonymous users from this IP address have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 month for persistently making disruptive edits.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  TonyBallioni (talk) 04:15, 18 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
If this is a shared IP address and you are an uninvolved editor with a registered account, you may continue to edit by logging in.
  • I've blocked this IP because you appear to only exist to blank the sandbox, you've accidentally added spam links to pages, applying incorrect CSD tags, and you for some reason also go around removing notices that you and other users have left on user talk pages. In total, I think whatever you are doing is disruptive enough as an IP user that we should ask you to sign in to whatever account you have so as to more easily discuss these things with you or not to edit at all. This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

I need help, I'm blocked from editing Wikipedia by accident.

Decline reason:

explanation to follow -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 15:58, 18 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
( decline explanation added post hoc)So sorry. I cannot unblock you at this time.

  • There have been some warnings previously, now removed, for edits made from this IP.
  • And other issues raised later.
  • The current page revision has the following block rationale from an admin, "I've blocked this IP because you appear to only exist to blank the sandbox, you've accidentally added spam links to pages, applying incorrect CSD tags, and you for some reason also go around removing notices that you and other users have left on user talk pages. In total, I think whatever you are doing is disruptive enough as an IP user that we should ask you to sign in to whatever account you have so as to more easily discuss these things with you or not to edit at all. TonyBallioni (talk) 04:31, 18 January 2019 (UTC)"
  • Ergo, many of us believe there are no accidents in life, merely choices. Please address the reasons for these blocks and how you will edit w/o such problems if you choose to seek unblock again. Please bear in mind that if you have an account, you are still free to login and edit from that account. Cheers, -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 16:12, 18 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
