[Request submitted on 2022 Jan. 02:] Re the article on Tom Brown Jr.; To the editor "CorbieVreccan", who just reverted the article's changes from the day before: {-- with thanks for corresponding so civilly & kindly --} Hi.. Since I'm still actually quite new at WP editing; since my intention here is only to help present more of the published facts (which in this case happen to be re how much & in what ways that a certain Native American cultural body of knowledge may or may not still contribute to ongoing perspectives & practices that might benefit everyone); and since my changes were merely citing published quotes which attest that Stalking Wolf had mentored Tom (plus BTW which attest that Rick's death was different from what Tom has written); then, if you could plz be so kind as to very briefly list, from within those clarifications that you just reverted, any instances you perceive of original research, of novel syntheses, of failure to cite a reliable source, or of any other violation of WP rules? Also, Since apparently in 2011 Tom's brother Jim was the one who published that 493-word biography of Tom actually by inserting it into the article's Talk Page {!}, if you could please explain how it should properly be cited?

Looking forward to your reply; Thank you. -- 97.113.177.145 (talk) 07:25, 3 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

[Request submitted on 2021 Dec. 11:] To "Indigenous girl" (who just reverted all the clarifications and additions from a couple of hours before):

Hi.. You ask, "Where is the evidence of his [Stalking Wolf's] existence?" -- but the article that's cited as if it's the source for the statement that "there is no evidence for it" actually itself gives a couple of quotes of Tom Brown's brother Jim, which very clearly evidence Jim's repeated close observation of Stalking Wolf with Tom.

So, once confirming that, if you would be so kind as to consider retracting your reversion?

--- except for the -trivial- detail that the title of Tom's first book should after-all be left as "The Tracker", and not changed to (as I'd thought it was) "Tracker".

Thanks, "Indigenous girl"! -- 97.113.177.145 (talk) 07:25, 3 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
