IP editor edit

You said having a constantly changing IP is "totally allowed and normal" but not accurate. The website strongly encourages users to register for an account, and provides incentives to do so. The main reason IPs are allowed is for occasional drive-by editors not for active experienced editors to sweep their tracks. You may feel at times this is biased against you, but at some point it is gaming the system to not register an account. -- GreenC 19:46, 9 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for passing along your opinion. There is no requirement to register an account. Have a nice evening!96.127.243.251 (talk) 21:46, 9 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
@GreenC: I looked this up for you. Editing articles without registration is a founding principle of Wikimedia. So it is what it is: even if you would like everyone to be registered, there is absolutely and very clearly no requirement for editors to be formally registered. Have a nice evening.96.127.243.251 (talk) 21:58, 9 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
It's wikilawyering missing the point. -- GreenC 22:04, 9 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
Stating the founding principles of the Wikimedia project is far from wikilawyering. If you can point me to the policy that say I must register, I will happily do so. However that policy does not exist, so you are just stating your opinion. I heard you and disagree. Have a nice evening. 96.127.243.251 (talk) 22:06, 9 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
Still missing the point. The principles are high level generic, not Constitutional, and don't go into specifics like we are discussing. They don't say anything about, for example, the strong encouragement Enwiki has that regular editors register for an account. The inherent SOCK nature of dynamic IPs. And other problems that experienced editors using dynamic IPs create for others. But clearly your not interested in that discussion. -- GreenC 22:38, 9 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Wikipedia encourages users to create accounts, but specifically permits unregistered IP users, without requirement to register. I hear your personal point of view expressed in your opinion that you don't like the established policy of allowing IP editors. Understood, no need to repeat yourself. Have a nice evening.96.127.243.251 (talk) 23:26, 9 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • As much as I believe that unregistered-IP-editing shall be allowed (and it's banes outweigh the boons, as in your case:-)), you might wish to read this page. It's much easier to communicate (ping(s) are only permissible for user-accounts) and collaborate, with registered users.Best,WBGconverse 14:58, 15 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
If we exchange cell phone numbers, we can text when you want to tell me something. Unless you want to remain anonymous? Have a good day. 96.127.243.251 (talk) 16:03, 15 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Jzsj and St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School, Thoothukudi edit

There is a discussion about the {{COI}} tag at Talk:St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School, Thoothukudi#COI tag. The Banner talk 22:47, 11 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

    • That should all be happening at WP:COIN, with the large list of his Jesuit-themed articles (hundreds?). No doubt in my mind that he is editing with an agenda and ignoring advice from others to fall into line.96.127.243.251 (talk) 22:54, 11 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Jzsj Question edit

In response to your question at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Saint Dismas Prison Ministry (2nd nomination), Jzsj's topic ban was a result of his edits to Notre Dame Cristo Rey High School. — BillHPike (talk, contribs) 23:06, 11 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

I think I going to change tactics regarding to the Jzsj-articles. I am now not only running into his normal protectors but also running in the non-notable-school-protectors. With an admin already threatening to block/topic-ban me when I am critical towards his toys, it is clear that it might become nasty. But I will not back down, don't worry. With this edit you claim there is original research but have not stated what exactly you suggest is WP:OR. The paragraphs in this section have citations, so use the talk page you can state your concern in detail otherwise the template will be removed as unsubstantiated. ww2censor (talk) 09:36, 20 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
