Mike Shinoda edit edit

I know you're not going to be happy about this, but I removed your edit to Mike Shinoda because you did not provide a source. Can you perhaps find a statement he made or something on his website that indicates his mother's nationality? If so, you can cite it and put it back in.

I understand it might be frustrating, but you simply claiming something does not make it acceptable to be put into Wikipedia. You appear to be a fan of Mike Shinoda and care about the article - don't you want it to be accurate and proven with outside sources?

Please look at WP:SOURCE to see what qualifies as a good source to cite. Also, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask me on my talk page, below.

Thank you for trying to help out. It really is appreciated, even if your edit needs a little more work.

Thanks. --KNHaw (talk) 06:29, 26 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

I would kindly advise you take @KNHaw:'s advice and read over WP:RS and WP:CITE, which will help you identify what is considered a reliable source and how you can cite it. We are not doubting the nationality of Mike's mother, but the threshold for inclusion is verifiability, not truth. Verifiability is the crux of Wikipedia, and we only include information that can be properly sourced and attributed from reliable publications. Other Wikis may add information without properly citing it, but on EN Wiki, the burden is on the editor to provide a source. Thanks, --  StarScream1007  ►Talk  16:26, 26 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
