February 2024 edit

  Hello, I'm ThaddeusSholto. I noticed that you recently removed content from Albania at the Olympics without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

  Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at Albania at the Olympics, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you.   Please stop. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at Albania at the Olympics, you may be blocked from editing. DrowssapSMM 18:22, 19 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

  You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary, as you did at Albania at the Olympics. DrowssapSMM 18:25, 19 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

  You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Albania at the Olympics. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Joyous! Noise! 18:27, 19 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Too bad this is just automated response, you are not even reading my edit summaries and you have not seen the recent edit history. 91.148.94.117 (talk) 18:27, 19 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
No, these responses are from real editors, they're asking that you refrain from edit warring and provide an explanation backed up by reliable sources prior to undergoing mass removals of content from an article. Panian513 18:33, 19 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
See, you are butting in and showing you have no idea what are you talking about given that I 1. have provided reason in edit summary for removal and 2. I cannot provide a source for something which never took place - yet all the bots keep putting unsourced and misplaced content back.

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Malinaccier (talk) 18:55, 19 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Malinaccier: you blocked me without reading edit summary or seeing edit history of page in question but I get it - you don't care but anyway: That entire section is stupid. Listing people who not only never won anything for Albania, they have never been Albanian citizens, some are not Albanians. 91.148.94.117 (talk) 19:01, 19 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I did read your edit summary. Regardless of your opinion (which has some merit), Wikipedia's rules do not allow for edit warring as it is disruptive. More than three reverts on a page within 24 hours is enough to warrant a block. When your block expires, I encourage you to discuss this proposed change on the talk page of the article to discuss the merits of removing the section. Malinaccier (talk) 19:05, 19 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Malinaccier:The joke is on you - your comment proves you did not check talk page. Talk page was used and proved useless because people ignore it. And that entire section is still stupid. 91.148.94.117 (talk) 19:15, 19 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
