On geographic names and allegations of bias edit

As far as geographic names go, removing names that are relevant to a city's history in one way or another, even if that history is painful for many, is usually not welcome on Wikipedia. This is per the guideline WP:NCGN.

Allegations of bias without strong evidence are also not welcome. While I won't be taking a stance on the bias (or lack thereof) of the editor in question, repeatedly reverting an edit this way can be problematic.

I understand that there has not been much in the way of an answer to your question - which there definitely should have been; but to not get banned, I would personally peruse the policies and guidelines on this matter. Uness232 (talk) 11:57, 24 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

February 2023 edit

  Hello, I'm Denisarona. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Pula, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Denisarona (talk) 13:36, 24 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

  Please do not add or change content, as you did at Trogir, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Denisarona (talk) 13:37, 24 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Rijeka, you may be blocked from editing. Denisarona (talk) 13:39, 24 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

you are putting only Italian names as alternative name for all croatian cities, you are italian pro-putin fascist, I have already reported your activity to croatian governemnt, and I am starting constitutional petition to remove italian names from Istria, because itlians are bellow 30% in instria, therefore by law that has to be removed 89.17.4.83 (talk) 13:49, 24 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
you do not have sources to put only italian name for Rijeka in body, while excluding german, hungarian, slovene... 89.17.4.83 (talk) 13:50, 24 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

  You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Šibenik. Denisarona (talk) 13:48, 24 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

why you are putting only italian names in body, while removing german, slovene, serb, hungarian and ottoman? 89.17.4.83 (talk) 13:51, 24 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

  You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Pula. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. TheManInTheBlackHat (Talk) 14:17, 24 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
