Episode dates

edit

Re: this, we update episodes as they air, not before. Adding an episode count through 9 June is not how the TV community edits articles, because anything can happen to preempt a TV show. See also WP:CRYSTAL. And, it's unclear why you extended the name of the series. You didn't explain it. Please explain on the talk page, but do not resubmit the content, please. Okay.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.102.106.5 (talk) 13:29, 22 March 2016 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.2.45.233 (talk) Reply

@Cyphoidbomb: I noticed the same thing this week in the edit log for Template:2017 Arena Football League standings, where this IP ignored WP:CRYSTAL and declared 1 team as having won the league title early and another team as in the playoffs. As no source proved such a case, I promptly undid the edit, backing my case with the guideline.
Finally, to the IP, in case of tl;dr, Wikipedia is NOT a crystal ball. Sports team trends or episode air dates are included in this case. We hope you understand. Jd02022092 (talk) 19:17, 6 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Location parameter

edit

Hi there, re: this and this (and presumably any other similar edits), the |location= parameter, per Template:Infobox television instructions, is for "Production location, i.e. where the show is/was shot. Leave blank if same as country of origin above." Adding locations within India for an Indian series is contrary to the parameter instructions. Thank you. League tables

edit

Re: this, don't forget to update the value for GB (Games Back) and sort the tables when updating the standings for leagues like AFL. We always sort league tables by the overall win percentage, followed by any tiebreakers that the league has set. You may want to refer to the tiebreakers list in 2017 Arena Football League season to assist you with sorting this particular league table. And to calculate GB, try this formula:

where   is the number of wins a team has,   is the number of losses a team has, and   is the position of a particular team in the standings, not equal to 1. If  , use MOS:MDASH in place of 0.

Also, since I feel your edit was made in good faith, I strongly encourage you to create an account. Creating an account gives you additional benefits, which are described in the link. Thanks for understanding. Jd02022092 (talk) 00:02, 18 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Okay. The standings looks fine but Jd02022092 can you add the GB standings for full time scores please. Thank you. 86.2.45.233 (talk) 05:59, 18 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

I don't understand your request. @Cyphoidbomb: do you know what this IP is talking about? Jd02022092 (talk) 15:48, 18 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Jd02022092: No, I do not, sorry. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 23:13, 18 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

July 2017

edit

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Udaan (2014 TV series), you may be blocked from editing. Remember what @Cyphoidbomb told you about adding episode counts. July 7, 2017 never happened yet, so don't update the count until the episodes air. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) 01:58, 4 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please note we only update any new episodes when they are currently on air courtesy of WP:CRYSTAL. 86.2.45.233 (talk) 07:24, 4 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for only updating episodes that have aired, like here. Your adjustment to community preference is appreciated. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 07:49, 9 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Balika Vadhu. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Do not remove commas from numbers. Sb2001 talk page 23:20, 27 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

I understand Sb2001 the thousand for what you just explained in Balika Vadhu should be this e.g 2,248 is correct and 2248 not correct. 86.2.45.233 (talk) 16:43, 28 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Yes, that is exactly the case. Good luck with your editing. –Sb2001 talk page 17:03, 28 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi (season 8). Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. AussieLegend () 20:44, 31 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Yeah it looks a lot fine with the editing fixed on Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi (season 8) but I still speak to the person who is editing this infobox television season when it should be infobox television. 86.2.45.233 (talk) 22:22, 31 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Bhaag Bakool Bhaag, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Please stop adding unsourced series end dates, like here. If a series ends, we need sources. Otherwise, somebody can just come by, change the date, and we never know that it's wrong. Additionally, context is important. If a series is ending because a certain programming block has been discontinued, saying something like, "The series aired its final episode on DD MONTH YYYY after the ___ programming block was discontinued by <network>" would be very helpful. And yes, that would require references. It's very frustrating that editors who participate in Indian entertainment articles rarely think beyond superficial changes. Correct Editing

edit

Ponyo Although the editing is correct there shouldn't be a block because somebody has been using this IP Address or a network by 1 of the users from Wikipedia hence I get this message.

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this IP address or network has been used to disrupt Wikipedia. It has been blocked from editing to prevent further abuse.
If you are not the intended target of this block, please read the information below in order to receive assistance.
Wikipedia tries to be open, but we sometimes must block IP addresses to prevent editing by abusers, vandals, or block evaders. These blocks can affect users who have done nothing wrong. If you are a legitimate user, follow the instructions below to edit despite the block. Users who are the intended target of a range block may still appeal the block.

IP users (without an account): If you do not have an account and wish to bypass this block, an account can be created to allow you to edit. In general, these blocks only prevent users who are not logged in from editing; once you are logged in, the block will no longer affect you in any way. To request an account, simply click here and follow the directions provided on the page. It is important that you use an e-mail address issued to you by your ISP, school, or organisation, so we may verify that you are a legitimate user. When filling out the account request form, please refer to this block in the "comments" input field. If you've been instructed to request an account via email, please refer to this block in your message.

Registered users (with an account): Please make sure you are logged in to your account. If you are unable to edit while logged in, you may request IP block exemption to bypass blocks unconnected with you that affect your editing. Post an unblock request to your user talk page.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

I have never come across this message before. It's not my fault if this message is comes up. 86.2.45.233 (talk) 10:23, 6 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to ESPN3, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you.
