You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Ok, fair enough. Sorry.

I'm sorry too. It was my error. Best regards. -- Baden-Paul (talk) 20:34, 23 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

No worries. Thank you.

Please don't claim that her Bangladeshi citizenship is disputed. The UK can claim all it likes that she should be Bangladeshi, but that's just their opinion. If Bangladesh does not recognize her as a citizen then she is not. And as far as I can see the UK has not revoked her citizenship yet. Until they do she is still a UK citizen..If they have already done so then add a reliable source. Meters (talk) 20:42, 23 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Shamima Begum. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Per WP:BRD you need to discuss this on the talk page rather than restoring your edit. Hi. I'll happily accept when I've been a prat (like I did above). But I think you're being a little bit silly here. I engaged with you rationally. My edit was not unconstructive. I left in place the part of your edit that I agreed with - the fact that she was British - and changed only the part of your edit that I honestly considered did not withstand logical analysis. I then told you why it did not withstand logical analysis.
By all means disagree with me. And let's have an honest discussion. But pretending I've been 'unconstructive' when I obviously have not is, well, rather unconstructive itself...86.151.123.50 (talk) 12:37, 24 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Shamima Begum. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. wumbolo ^^^ 21:20, 23 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi, thanks for this. I think you've honestly misunderstood the situation. I have not actually reverted anything. I made one change. Meters made a further change. I did not revert back to my earlier version; rather I accepted the part of his change that made sense and was in line with the sources, and changed the part that I honestly considered was not. I then fully explained why I thought the way I did. If anyone has 'reverted' on that page, it is actually Meters, who made his initial edit 20:36 and then reverted back to it at 21:15. So I'm a little surprised that you have warned me and not him.86.151.123.50 (talk) 12:37, 24 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please read this notification carefully, it contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.

A community decision has authorised the use of general sanctions for pages related to the Syrian Civil War and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. The details of these sanctions are described here. All pages that are broadly related to these topics are subject to a one revert per twenty-four hours restriction, as described here.

General sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimise disruption in controversial topic areas. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to these topics that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behaviour, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. An editor can only be sanctioned after he or she has been made aware that general sanctions are in effect. This notification is meant to inform you that sanctions are authorised in these topic areas, which you have been editing. It is only effective if it is logged here. Before continuing to edit pages in these topic areas, please familiarise yourself with the general sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.
