Welcome to Wikipedia

edit

Honestly, welcome. Glad to have you here. Other editors have scrips they use that will give all sorts of useful links, but since you edited one of the pages I watch (Sequoiadendron giganteum), I am reaching out with the offer of pointing you towards resources to answer questions. I reverted your edit, but I think you have the right idea. It is just that writing can last a long time on wikipedia. Rather than using "now" as a description it is 99% of the time better to use a date in time. That way if no one touches your edit for a decade it won't become inaccurate. Looking at the picture you were adding to the caption it was taken in 2007, so that would be a better addition than "now".

Also, when the caption of a photo is a fragment it should not have a period at the end. So I think the caption of the EuroDisney photo should not have a period, but I'm not a grammar expert. Just a plant enthusiast.

Happy editing, hope you'll do some more. 🌿MtBotany (talk) 20:28, 19 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
