CheckUser block edit

@Bbb23: After I showed an interest in Miss Sarah Welch's Sockpuppet Investigation you ran a CheckUser on me. You didn't tell me you were going to do this or that you had concerns about my editing, and you haven't told me what the findings of your CU investigation were. To enable me to prepare an unblock request please let me know

(1) have you linked me to a registered account?

(2) if the answer is yes, what is the name of the account to which I have been linked?

Thank you for your time.

After composing the above message I checked the block notice, which reads as follows:

CheckUser evidence has determined that this IP address or network has been used (not necessarily by you) to disrupt Wikipedia. It has been blocked from editing to prevent further abuse.

I've not seen one of these messages before, but it appears to be a template. It may be that you have not found any fault with my editing, but the block is directed at someone who has used this IP in the past. It doesn't appear to be a network issue as it's not a rangeblock. Would I be right in thinking that this is nothing to do with me and that I am free to continue editing from another IP address?
