Footballer stats

edit

Hi there. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. When you update the matches played for different footballers, remember to update the datestamp in the infobox, when you updated the stats for the Norwegian under-21 team the other day, you seem to have completely forgetten the ntupdate or the nationalteam-update parameter. The easy way to update it is to replace the existing contents with 5 tilde characters 19:07, 7 June 2013 (UTC), which the software will automatically convert to the current date/time. If you update player appearances without changing the "as-of" date, you're making the information wrong and making work for others. I hope you remember this the next time you update statistics in the infobox, and also please remember to wait till after the match till you do the update. Cheers, Mentoz86 (talk) 19:07, 7 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

A little heads up.

edit

Hi there. Thanks for your edit to Jon Knudsen - I appreciate that you've started to add a little text when you change something in the articles. I wanted to give you a heads up, if you read the last part this discussion, you'll see that we should add links to 2013 Tippeligaen and 2013 Norwegian First Division (and similar) instead of the generic 2013 in Norwegian football in tables like "recent history" and "career statistics". Keep it up (and don't forget to datestamps ;p ) Mentoz86 (talk) 16:39, 19 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Recent history section

edit

Hi there. Me and User:Barend has had a discussion at his talk page regarding the recent history sections (I believe I left you a message to one of the other IP's you've used, but you didn't reply. Basically, I've gone ahead and changed the format slightly at the section of Fana IL, as an example. You can see what I've done here. I've changed the "Year in Norwegian football" links to the individual season articles, and changed the name to "2. Divisjon" and "3. Divisjon" instead of the English names that isn't used (2. Division or Division 2). I've also spelled out "First round" instead of "1st round", as that is the common usage in English wikipedia, and removed the medal-colors (for leagues not awarding medals) and instead having a light green color with an arrow for promotion and a light red color with an arrow for relegation. I've also replaced the current season, with in progress as I previously stated that I wanted to do. What do you think? This is something I intend to do on all these sections across Norwegian football clubs articles, so any feedback and help is appreciated. Mentoz86 (talk) 11:42, 26 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Bendik Bye. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you.
