correction of Asa Adgate biography
editA letter from (Col.) Rufus Norton of Guilford, CT to Lieut. Asa Adgate of Peru, NY dated 9/20/1796 has been accepted by a historian for the House of Representatives as proof that Asa Adgate was a lieutenant, NY militia for the period 1796-1799, rather than 1798 to 1799, as previously stated in the House of Representatives archives. The correction, made online 2/17/2021, can be found at history.house.gov and should be made in Wikipedia, under Asa Adgate.
