Vanguard School Edits edit

I wanted to thank you for reaching out to me on my talk page. I'm glad to hear that you want to edit constructively! It isn't an easy thing to do and I applaud your efforts.

I'm concerned about your latest edit, though. You did right by putting the criticisms of the school in its own section. In fact, I was about to suggest you doing exactly that. The issue is that you are using the school's website as a source for the claim of discriminatory practices, but I couldn't find anything there to support the claim. No surprise, of course, as few institutions would place such claims on their own websites.

Is there any other source you can find to support that claim? A newspaper article or publicly posted government investigation? Google searches on "vanguard school Colorado lgbtq" and "vanguard school Colorado complaint" come up dry. I understand that it might not be possible to find this, as complaints of this nature are usually anonymous and kept private, but unless there is some public source to back up the claim the section will have to eventually be removed.

Also, normally I would encourage you to create a Wikipedia profile in order to better do edits, but I understand any concerns you might have about anonymity. Just know that you can set up an account without an email and Wikipedia is very serious about protecting privacy. See here and here for details. If you make a point of avoiding identifiable information in the account (i.e. year of birth, names, surnames, favorite band, etc) and don't use school computers to log in, it'd be very difficult to trace an edit back to a source. There are no 100% guarantees, of course, so there is some small element of risk.

In any case, please do a little digging and try to find another source for the claims in the article. I won't be changing it soon but it's inevitable somebody will. As always, feel free to reach out to me on my talk page.

Thanks!

I reread your edit and explicitly looked for "cross dressing." I found this. However, it's dated 2011. Can you find anything else to add?
