Welcome! edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Someone using this IP address, 74.104.136.171, has made edits to Hurricane Felix that do not conform to our policies and therefore have been reverted. If you'd like to experiment with the syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles. If you did not do this, you may like to consider getting a username to avoid confusion with other editors.

You don't have to log in to read or edit pages on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free, requires no personal information, and has many benefits. Without a username, your IP address is used to identify you.

Some good links for newcomers are:

Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and a timestamp. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask the Help Desk, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Again, welcome! Ruyter talk 07:58, 25 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Consider joining? edit

Have you considered signing up for an account on here? I noticed that your IP address has been blocked a few times because other people on the same IP have been vandalizing, but your contributions to vandalism reversion/article editing seem pretty solid. If you register, you don't have to worry about being blocked for other people's vandalism. Just a thought.   cymru.lass (talkcontribs) 19:42, 14 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. I don't know what came over me on that June morning. My motive for those edits was not attention seeking. Sometimes I used to add personal items to the Current Events when I got angry. 74.104.136.171 (talk) 14:29, 22 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Donner60 (talk) 04:01, 24 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
