Hello, I'm Thanoscar21. I noticed that you recently removed content from Providence Health & Services without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. You have removed referenced material. Please use the article's talk page to discuss such changes first. Ifnord (talk) 18:15, 8 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please find a reliable source that indicates that Providence is indeed a non-profit organization. 73.44.28.216 (talk) 19:02, 8 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello 73.25.190.117. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Providence Health & Services, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:73.25.190.117. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=73.25.190.117|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Ifnord (talk) 15:04, 24 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

This is Melissa, I work for Providence and do not know how to make the edits you are suggesting. I have not financial stake, instead I want to have the truth on a page that people are trying to find facts. I have added the truth many times, but it is then covered by a quote from an article that was not vetted or researched. How is that "ok" I have an account, but it doesn't seem to help me.

Please advise on how I can take care of this issue. Melissa
