Talk page conventions

edit

Hi, 7243HODGSOZ.

It is usual to start a new subject or thread on a talk page, particularly a user talk page, in a new section, as this one is. You can create a section by placing double equals signs around the section header:

== Like this header ==

or you can use the "Start new section" tab at the top of your page. In some display skins this is identified only with a plus sign. See Help:Section and Help:Using talk pages for more detail.

Things like this edit are what I am talking about. DES (talk) 20:40, 23 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Reference citations in User:7243HODGSOZ/proposal

edit

If references are to be displayed using the <ref> tag system, then a {{reflist}} template or a <references> tag must be placed in a section entitled "References" or "Notes" (I favor the latter, as more accurate, but either will do) at the end of the page, after all instances of a <ref> tag. See referencing for beginners and footnote help for more detail. DES (talk) 21:03, 10 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
