Hello, I'm Egghead06. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Eddie Holman, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Egghead06 (talk) 06:46, 7 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

I understand. I actually have a source of information. -- 72.212.64.192 (talk) 06:58, 7 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Eddie Holman, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Egghead06 (talk) 07:05, 7 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

I added the reference. BTW, maybe we should take this to the talk page of Eddie Holman. -- 72.212.64.192 (talk) 07:11, 7 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Disruptive?

edit

I don't know about being disruptive, but here's a few notes on Keith Chapman, this edit, and I'm doing this at length because I don't want to block you, but you also need to consider a few things. First, you're putting a bunch of things in lower case, which is unnecessary, like in the short description and for the reflist. You wikilinked "England", which is unnecessary and distracting (this is covered in WP:OVERLINK). You changed "programmes" to "programs", but this is a British English topic. Wikilinking "merchandising" is likewise unnecessary. But you should REALLY remove that unverified and totally trivial sentence about the guy's nephew--come on now. You have been blocked from editing from certain pages (Keith Chapman) for a period of 1 month for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  ~ ToBeFree (talk) 22:41, 12 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

User:ToBeFree, I see what you did and I appreciate it. Let's see if the editor is willing to look back at some of their edits. IP, the edit warring, meaning your reverting, is part of what others are considering to be disruptive. You might could start by properly explaining your edits--and by cutting down on the number of "unnecessary" little things (meaning, errors, as I outlined above), because it all adds up. If I were you I'd stop and reflect and respond, lest you really get blocked. Drmies (talk) 22:44, 12 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Drmies, I saw too late what you did and appreciate it too   Thanks for deescalating the situation and explaining things. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 22:47, 12 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Great! Thank you! 😁👍 I really am trying to be constructive, such as adding the filmography of Keith Chapman! -- 72.212.64.192 (talk) 22:49, 12 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

However, I still cannot edit Keith Chapman. I thought adding his filmography was constructive. -- 72.212.64.192 (talk) 23:17, 12 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

  • You are blocked from editing that article because you were edit warring in that article--didn't you read the templated block notice?? Drmies (talk) 19:50, 13 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • And now I see what is happening on Open Season (film series), where you are signaling to other editors that you either don't read their reasons for reverting you. At some point, if you keep ignoring what other say (I am still puzzled you asked why you can't edit that one article) I can not prevent you from being blocked. Drmies (talk) 19:56, 13 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Adakiko. I noticed that in this edit to Hey There Lonely Girl, you removed content without adequately explaining why. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Adakiko (talk) 21:41, 23 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Edit warring notice

edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Eddie Holman. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Adakiko (talk) 22:32, 23 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

I am sorry for this. I am just trying to add more information about Eddie that is true. -- 72.212.64.192 (talk) 22:39, 23 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Okay. -- 72.212.64.192 (talk) 22:58, 23 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Blocked

edit

I just noticed I have been blocked for 3 months. I was discussing pages on the talk pages and fixing certain paragraphs, like adding commas and quotes. Please consider unblocking me. -- 72.212.64.192 (talk) 23:29, 23 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

You have been making numerous unnecessary edits which serve no purpose other than to load-up the wp:page history. Also, making apparently intentionally disruptive edits such as your edits on Gilbert Gottfried at 22:46, 23 November 2023‎ where you repeatedly and unnecessarily capped and decapped template names. Adakiko (talk) 23:41, 23 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please unblock me and I promise I will do much better. I will look for more references to add, meaning that if I add a new sentence, I will provide a link to prove that it was officially said and who said it. Please. -- 72.212.64.192 (talk) 23:48, 23 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

I was adding all of that information on Eddie Holman because I researched and that was the information that I got. Please give me another chance and unblock me. I will provide sources for what I post on his page. -- 72.212.64.192 (talk) 03:12, 25 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
