Hello, I'm Wcquidditch. I noticed that you made a change to an article, WRBL, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.   Hello, I'm Epicgenius. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to KRQE— because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Epic Genius (talk) 15:30, 5 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please stop immediately

edit

Hello. Please immediately stop adding unsourced information, adding contractions, and adding generic "Stations in" categories to television station articles. Specifically to the last point, the "stations in" categories should only be the specific city or region that the television station in question. Please leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions. Thank you. Huntster (t @ c) 10:09, 26 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Use of edit summaries

edit

Hi there! Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! North America1000 10:16, 26 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in WYOU, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. In addition, the station's call sign history does not show the station having been assigned "WYOU-TV" at any point; it went right from WDAU-TV to simply WYOU in 1986. Thank you.   Thank you for your contributions. One of your recent contributions to WSHM-LD has been reverted or removed, because it contains speculative or unconfirmed information about a future event. Please only add material about future events if it is verifiable, based on a reliable source. WCQuidditch 08:17, 19 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in KBMY. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Thank you. WCQuidditch 22:24, 23 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to use disruptive, inappropriate or hard-to-read formatting, as you did at WCGV-TV, you may be blocked from editing. Its vs it's

edit

Hi,I've noticed that you repeatedly change "its" to "it's" when the possessive is meant in a number of articles, including WTVC and WAGA-TV. "Its" is the correct singular possessive pronoun, while "it's" means "it is". Also note that "it's" is not generally used in formal writing, except in direct quotes. It would be helpful if you would go back over your recent contributions and makes theses corrections. Thanks. - BilCat (talk)

Contractions

edit

In addition to the its/it's problem above which you are still introducing, please note that contractions are not encouraged in the Manual of Style. I see that you have been recently changing phrases such as "have not" to "haven't". --LilHelpa (talk) 15:32, 12 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Considering the continued disruptive editing, the lack of response to issues raised on this talk page, and that this seems to be a static IP, I am blocking this IP for a period of one year. Anonymous user, please discuss these issues and how best to resolve them, and the block may be lifted. Huntster (t @ c) 02:35, 13 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
