Thanks, but, I've been editing for some time. I mostly get these messages when I oppose a registered editor's POV, ... like in this case. 71.112.245.93 (talk) 23:17, 3 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

February 2021 edit

Hello, I'm Evrik. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Pennsyltucky have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Thanks. --evrik (talk) 22:32, 3 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
My contributions here *are* indeed constructive (addition by subtraction, in this case) because removing the passages brings this WP article closer to the truth by removing the false contention that Pittsburgh "has a direct association to the Midwest" (whatever that's supposed to mean - highly vague at best). And just because *you* might have added the sections in question doesn't make them constructive, either. Truth must be the filter and the phrases you're trying to defend are simply biased untruths.
The phrase "Ohio Valley feel" (again, whatever that is supposed to mean) is also complete conjecture and simple biased opinion, based upon a convenient conjuring of geographical reference, without any proof whatsoever that such a sociological and cultural reference even exists. Furthermore, two out of the three experts in the cited reference employed in the paragraph in question disagree with your contention that Pittsburgh has any Midwest connection. The other one, a supposed chef (doubtful), transplanted in Pittsburgh from Chicago for three years attempts to cite a few commonalities in ethnic-based food because a couple of the same immigrant groups settled in both Chicago and Pittsburgh (so what? - and btw, Chicago does not make up the entire Midwest, far from it - chef demonstrated a lack of broad insight) and he thinks that Pittsburghers have a craving for ranch dressing and "put french fries on everything". What?!!? How ridiculous. The fact that you would even use such a silly and biased pop-culture reference to shore up such a weak argument shows that you are thoroughly out of your element, Evrik. 71.112.245.93 (talk) 23:17, 3 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Battle of Kings Mountain, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Sorry, wrong edit. reverted
Yes, about that. In response to the insistence of certain editors to continue to refer to American Patriots in the American Revolutionary War, derisively, as "rebels", with turnabout being fair play, perhaps it is time to refer to the British and their Allies in said conflict as "oppressors". 71.112.245.93 (talk) 07:41, 8 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

A more important issue is not the specific content. If someone reverts you, you don't revert back without discussion. You go to the talk page and discuss. That's the way it's done on Wikipedia. Otherwise if you continue reverting, it's edit warring, and you can lose your editing privileges. So regardless of the content you add or remove from Wikipedia, it is absolutely required that you follow Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Sundayclose (talk) 16:16, 8 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
