Attention:

This IP address, 69.248.154.94, is registered to Comcast Cable Communications, Inc.; Barnegat, NJ (USA), and may be shared by multiple users. In the case of organizations using proxy servers, this IP address may in fact represent many users at many physical computers.

For this reason, a message intended for one person may be received by another and a block shared by many. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases, you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism, in which case, please see here.

If you are autoblocked repeatedly, we encourage you to contact your Internet service provider or IT department and ask them to contact Wikimedia's XFF project about enabling X-Forwarded-For HTTP headers on their proxy servers so that our editing blocks will affect only the intended user.

Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider using a soft block with the template {{anonblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.

Note: In the event of severe vandalism from this address, abuse reports may be forwarded to your network administrator for further investigation.

Vandalism warnings edit

You have recently vandalized a Wikipedia article, and you are now being asked to stop this type of behavior. You're welcome to continue editing Wikipedia, so long as these edits are constructive. Please see Wikipedia's Blocking policy and what constitutes vandalism; such actions are not tolerated on Wikipedia, and are not taken lightly.

We hope that you will become a legitimate editor. Again, you are welcome here at Wikipedia, but remember not to vandalize or you will soon be blocked from editing.

If you feel you have received this message in error, it may be because you are using a shared IP address. Nevertheless, repeated vandalism from this address may cause you to be included in any future sanctions such as temporary blocks or bans. To avoid confusion in the future, we invite you to create a user account of your own. Jerry lavoie 02:50, 26 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Your question/ comment on my talk page edit

Hello, OLN, when you are not signed-in, wikipedia uses your ipaddress as your ID. Many people use an internet connection method that either gives them a different address every time, from a pool of available addresses, or are in a network that uses a proxy server, where several users share the same external IPaddress. The comments you are concerned about apparently do not apply to you. You can avoid seeing these messages, if you log-in. Jerry lavoie 23:31, 19 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please see the SharedIP template at the top of this page for more details. Jerry lavoie 23:38, 19 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
