Hello, and thank you for your recent contribution. While the content of your edit may be true, I have removed it because its depth or nature of detail are not consistent with our objectives as an encyclopedia. I recognize that your edit was made in good faith and hope you will familiarize yourself with what Wikipedia is not so we may collaborate in the future. Thank you! Plovers in cleaning symbiosis edit

Hi, you'll see that I've reverted your change to Cleaning symbiosis. This is because the mention is from a source, which I cited in the article; and the source, which I have now quoted in full, actually mentions the spur-winged plover explicitly. I appreciate you may feel, or wish to believe, or have heard from somewhere or other, that it ought to be some other bird: but the source says what it does, and Wikipedia goes on cited sources. Please make changes only when you have written proof, and take care to cite that evidence. Many thanks. Chiswick Chap (talk) 15:46, 24 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

I've replied to your questions on the article's talk page. Please do not be offended if I say that your answers make it clear that you need to study two key Wikipedia policies, WP:RS and WP:V, as these are central both to how Wikipedia works and to this particular question. I think that once you've got the general idea of those two things, you will easily see why I have replied above as I have, and why the article is as it is. August 2015 edit

Hello, I'm Gourami Watcher. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, it's important to be mindful of the feelings of your fellow editors, who may be frustrated by certain types of interaction. While you probably didn't intend any offense, please do remember that Wikipedia strives to be an inclusive atmosphere. In light of that, it would be greatly appreciated if you could moderate yourself so as not to offend. Thank you. --GouramiWatcher(?) 02:33, 12 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

RE edit

Per your comment here, the use of the phrase "poorly written" was the reason for me previous message. On Wikipedia, it is recommended that those contributing should use neutral language when making comments and should use more constructive wording. See Wikipedia:Civility for more information. Thank you. --GouramiWatcher(?) 02:52, 12 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Apology accepted. If you'd like, I'd encourage you to create an account and make some changes on the article in case you want to. --GouramiWatcher(?) 02:59, 12 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
