Great Falls Americans edit

Please stop adding text about various other teams called the Great Falls Americans to this article. We do not throw a mishmash of various things using the same title into one article. This article is about the WHL team. If you feel the other team is notable (i.e.: it was written about in reliable sources independent of the subject) please create a new article for that separate team. That said, a low level junior team is generally not considered notable. Resolute 15:57, 28 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

The Jr. B team drew more than 1,500 fans and it was very notable and historic to the general deterioration of hockey in Great Falls. The people there know how important all those events were and there are many other "low-level" hockey teams that are on Wikipedia. Pat Dwyer of the Carolina Hurricanes played there as well as Josh Langfield and the team's beginnings were part of the history that led to the Jr. A team. There are no sources because the internet did not exist and the league since combined with the Heritage league.

There needs to be sources, however they do not have to be internet sources. If you have newspaper articles and the like that are offline, those are sufficient so long as they are referenced. Again, however, we don't combine multiple entities into one article as a matter of course. If you have sources available, I can create an article for you at a disambiguated title like Great Falls Americans (Junior B) or something similar, and add hat notes to the WHL team's article directing any interested reader to that article. Your claims of attendance and the development of an NHL player would be enough for me, at least, and with references this shouldn't be a problem to get created at a permanent location.
